  • Publication number: 20260102868
Abstract: A rail grinding machine contains a machine frame, rail guide units arranged on the machine frame, a grinding unit with a drive motor and a tool holder for driving a grinding tool in rotation about an axis of rotation, a height adjustment device for adjusting the height of the grinding unit and a handle for manually moving the grinding unit. A guide of the height adjustment device defines a guide plane. The axis of rotation is spaced apart from the guide plane, in particular in the region of the tool holder. As a result, the rail grinding machine has a simple configuration and is convenient to use. In particular, the rail grinding machine enables an unrestricted view of a grinding point.

  • Patent number: 11466411
Abstract: A machine for track maintenance is manually displaceable on a track. The machine has a work module with a handle, a working tool powered by a drive and a machine frame configured to be guided on a rail of the track. The work module is detachably connected to an energy module and the energy module has an electrical energy store and output contacts. The output contacts are detachably connected to input contacts of the work module. The work module has as the drive an electric motor supplied with electrical energy from the energy store. This solution results in a high degree of overall efficiency because the energy available in the energy store serves for the largest part for covering performance peaks.

  • Publication number: 20210237222
Abstract: A rail grinding machine for grinding rails of a track has a machine frame, on which guide rollers for manual movement of the rail grinding machine in a longitudinal direction are mounted. By use of a cross slide, which is mounted on the machine frame, a grinding unit can be moved in a transverse direction. The cross slide contains a closed cross slide frame, which extends in the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction. The closed cross slide frame enables a simple and stable construction of the rail grinding machine and flexible adjustability of the grinding unit.
