  • Patent number: 10047981
Abstract: A system and method provides for controlling condensation generation in an air conditioning system for use in a bed (mattress). During active operation of the air conditioning system to generate conditioned air, the relative humidity of ambient air is measured and operation of one or more thermoelectric devices (TEDs) within the air conditioning system in response to the measured relative humidity is adjusted to control condensate buildup. During a subsequent drying operation, the relative humidity of the ambient air is measured and the drying operation is adjusted or otherwise controlled based on the measurement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 30, 2013
Date of Patent: August 14, 2018
    Assignee: MARLOW INDUSTRIES, INC.

  • Publication number: 20090277613
Abstract: A cooling system for removing heat from at least one heat generating component with a first low-profile phase plane heat pipe having a geometrically reoriented surface adapted for receiving heat from the at least one heat generating component along a first section of the geometrically reoriented surface, and having a plurality of micro-tubes disposed therein. A heat transfer fluid is contained with the plurality of micro-tubes and a second section of the geometrically reoriented heat pipe surface is disposed in a position geometrically offset from the first section.

  • Publication number: 20080058911
Abstract: A DVT and temperature therapy system. A temperature therapy blanket includes a fluid bladder for delivering hot and/or cold therapy to a patient. The temperature therapy blanket may also include an air bladder for providing compression. The DVT system functions independently of the temperature therapy. This Abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an Abstract that allows a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain subject matter of the technical disclosure. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 CFR 1.72(b).
