Abstract: A child-resistant bottle and screw-on cap combination that is relatively easy to open for elderly persons with limited dexterity. The cap has a construction that is particularly suited for use with extrusion blow-molded bottles. The cap and bottle locking structures afford reliable performance even when the bottle is formed of relatively soft, inexpensive thermoplastic material.

Abstract: A closure cap has winged fingerpieces which include latching members. The fingerpieces provide a hinge-up release movement of the latching members when the fingerpieces are squeezed radially inwardly. The invention provides a closure that is child resistant yet easy and convenient for an adult to operate.

Abstract: A versatile, ecological, and economical package including, in one form, plastic inner and outer rings or circular frames, and two recycled paperboard face sheets. The inner and outer rings each have an annular portion and a face portion inwardly extending from opposite ends of the annular portions. Each of the face portions form an opening. The face sheets each have a diameter larger than the diameter of the openings so that the face sheets are retained within the outer and inner rings. The rigid inner and outer rings arid the semi-rigid face sheets collectively provide rigid package faces. Also disclosed are variants in the construction of the rings and holder as well as certain accessory elements. In another form, a holder or package of unitary construction includes two protection sheets, and a side portion at the peripheries of the protection sheets and extending between the protection sheets.

Abstract: A child resistant closure or cap for use on a container having a threaded, shouldered neck is disclosed. Complimentary locking means on the cap and container shoulder and a resilient release tab are provided. In one embodiment the cap includes an internally threaded cylindrically-shaped skirt having a radially extending flange portion at a bottom edge. The container shoulder has a recess formed therein and is adapted to be adjacent the cap flange portion when the cap is fully threaded onto the container neck. A downwardly extending protrusion is formed on a bottom surface of the flange portion and cooperatively engages the recess when the cap is fully threaded onto the container neck to prevent rotational removal of the cap. The protrusion is located on the resilient release tab which is formed by a circumferential slit and a perpendicular slit, whereby the release tab is upwardly or axially deflectable to disengage the protrusion from the recess and permit rotational removal of the cap.

Abstract: A peumatically operated playing device for randomly casting at least one discrete article includes a substantially rigid cubic enclosure having a first opening on one wall thereof and a second opening on another wall thereof; a first elastic membrane covering the first opening; a second elastic membrane covering the second opening; a retraction element on the first elastic membrane for retracting the first elastic membrane; and the substantially rigid enclosure and the first and second elastic membranes defining a hermetically sealed chamber within the substantially rigid enclosure, such that retraction of the first elastic membrane results in a consequent retraction of the second elastic membrane, and subsequent release of the first elastic membrane causes the second elastic membrane to impart a force to any discrete articles which may be positioned in engagement with the second elastic membrane.

Abstract: A three dimensional puzzle or toy, of the type sold under the registered trademark RUBIK'S CUBE, in which eight outer bodies or blocks are rotated four at a time about any one of three axes, so that different shapes may be presented in different combinations of said outer bodies. The outer bodies present a desired shape, such as an egg, sphere, clown's head or other desired shape only when the outer bodies are in proper combination. The outer bodies revolve about a spherical core, and are releasably maintained assembled about said core by magnetic means on the adjoining surfaces of the outer bodies.
