  • Publication number: 20240408469
Abstract: A bicycle trainer includes a frame having a pair of laterally spaced axle supports configured to support a rear wheel axle of a bicycle. The axle supports define a laterally extending first axis. A drive wheel is rotatably supported by the frame, wherein the drive wheel is rotatable about a second axis parallel to, and radially spaced from, the first axis. A resistance unit is supported by the frame and operably coupled to the drive wheel. A bicycle trainer system includes a bicycle having a rear wheel axle removably supported by the axle supports. A method of using the trainer is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20240189687
Abstract: A bicycle trainer having a device for direct measurement of torque through a stator of a generator style resistance unit of a bicycle trainer is provided. The direct measurement may be accomplished through the disposition of strain gauges on a device positioned at the intersection of a stator and rigid frame attachment of the generator style resistance unit. The strain gauges may be disposed on radially extending spokes of the stator, or a carrier therefore.

  • Patent number: 10099322
Abstract: Methods for aircraft component repair and reclamation are provided. Cold spraying aircraft panels include identifying a fastener hole in an aircraft panel in need of repair, capturing the location of the fastener hole, and depositing cold spray material about the fastener hole for reclaiming the aircraft panel. Any excess material may be removed. Cold spraying hydraulic lines includes identifying a surface of the hydraulic line in need of repair, aiming a cold spray nozzle at the surface of the hydraulic line and depositing a cold spray material on the surface of the hydraulic line. Excess cold spray material may be removed as needed.
