  • Publication number: 20060277270
Abstract: The subject invention provides a system and/or a method that facilitates the recording of server/device communications on a device and playback of such recorded conversations from the device. Playback from the device can be implemented without a network connection and simulates a real server that has previously interacted with the device. The system provides for a device to communicate with at least one server, and a module integrated with device to playback at least one recorded server response to the device. Further, the system provides for a component integrated with the device to record server responses and device responses on the device and to store the recorded responses in a memory of the device. Upon staging the device to a state equal to when the conversation record log was created, the recorded server responses can be matched to corresponding device responses and played back to the device.

  • Publication number: 20060277257
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate minimizing data transfer from a post office protocol (POP) server to a client device by employing a date filter with a predefined date range and applying a message body size threshold above which only a message header will be downloaded to conserve bandwidth and/or memory space on the client device. A user can request download of a message for which only a message header was originally downloaded if the header comprises information of interest to the user.

  • Patent number: 4550591
Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring particulate matter in the fluid comprises a filter means (28) through which fluid is arranged to flow. A pressure sensing means (46) senses the fluid pressure difference across the filter means and produces a pressure signal indicative of the magnitude of the pressure difference. A processing means (49) receives the pressure signal and evaluates therefrom the rate of change of the magnitude of the pressure difference in order to give an indication of particulate matter levels in the fluid. In this way on line monitoring of the debris generation in, for example an oil system, can be effected so that abnormal increases in debris can be detected and long term trends in the build-up of debris can be observed. A particular form of filter medium is also disclosed wherein the filter mean can be transported so that a filter record can be maintained and systematic X-ray analysis of the filter record can be effected.
