Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a first conductive member and a second conductive member. The first conductive member includes a first channel portion extending from a first wedge portion, with the first channel portion configured to receive a first conductor therein. The first conductive member includes a jaw movably coupled to the first channel portion and being positioned between the first channel portion and the first wedge portion. The second conductive member includes a second channel portion extending from a second wedge portion where the second channel portion configured to receive a second conductor. The first wedge portion and the second wedge portion are assembled such that the second wedge portion engages the jaw and moves the jaw to the closed position. The jaw engages the first conductor in the closed position. Optionally, the first channel portion may have a contoured shape.

Abstract: An actuator for remote operation of a switch, such as a recloser-type circuit breaker in a power distribution network, comprises an electric mechanism including an electric motor and electro-magnetic clutch mechanism, which is energisable to connect the motor drive to mechanically operate the switch on command and which is otherwise mechanically disengaged from the switch such that the switch may operate freely, and a receiver arranged to receive remotely transmitted command signals for the electric mechanism.

Abstract: An actuator for use in operating switches such as air break switches of the type used on overhead power systems. The actuator is based on an over-center mechanism. Movement of an operating arm indirectly drives a drive arm via the over-center mechanism with the energy of a resilient member being used to regulate the opening of a switch connected to the drive.
