  • Patent number: 10775978
Abstract: A remote controllable monitoring system includes a movable sensor to monitor characteristic(s) of electrical components of equipment housed at different locations inside of an electrical enclosure. The movable sensor is movably mounted inside of the electrical enclosure. The monitoring system can also control the power supplied to the electrical components (e.g., turn power ON or OFF). A remote device interacts with the monitoring system to provide a user with remote control over the functions of the monitoring system. The remote device can include an interactive user interface with a virtual map of the electrical components. Accordingly, the user can monitor electrical components and turn OFF power to the electrical components if a problem or perspective problem is detected, via the interactive user interface of the remote device without opening or being near the electrical enclosure.

  • Patent number: 9841451
Abstract: A system for detecting faults in an electric vehicle charging system includes an electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) coupled to an electric vehicle via a cable. The EVSE includes a first charging circuit interrupting device (CCID) configured to detect faults at let-go levels between an ungrounded conductor in the cable and an external (or unintended) ground. The first CCID is also configured to detect faults above leakage current levels between a chassis of the vehicle and a power storage device of the vehicle. A second CCID is included in the cable or the vehicle to detect faults at let-go levels between an ungrounded conductor in the cable and the chassis. The system maintains grounding continuity between the electric vehicle and ground. The system thus provides protection at let-go levels while allowing a leakage current in the vehicle to be detected at a higher level for nuisance trip avoidance.

  • Patent number: 9742161
Abstract: A touch safe system is provided for an electrical panel, such as a panel board or residential load center. The system includes a phase barrier to isolate branch connectors along a center portion of the electrical panel, a top central cover that snaps onto the phase barrier and two side bus covers. The side bus covers are arranged along opposite sides of the phase barrier over opposite side portions of the electrical panel. The system further includes snap-in filler plates to cover any exposed portion of a branch connector which is unoccupied by a circuit breaker. Each of the snap-in filler plates is secured between the top center bus cover and one of the side bus covers. A snap-in lug cover can also be provided for each circuit breaker on the panel, and secured between one of the side bus covers and a recessed portion of the circuit breaker.

  • Patent number: 8466706
Abstract: A combiner that calculates energy produced by each panel feed during the daytime, and calculates a resistance value needed to calculate the energy by injecting a known current into each panel feed at nighttime and measuring the resulting voltage across a resistive element in each panel feed. A voltage tap across the protection device in each panel feed allows logic and control circuitry to measure the voltage across each protection device. At nighttime, a known current is injected into each panel feed and the voltage across each protection device is measured. Plugging the current and voltage into Ohm's Law, a resistance of each protection device is calculated, then that resistance value is used during the daytime to calculate energy produced by each string in real time and to monitor each string's performance. When an individual string's performance wanes, an alarm is indicated to help the operator troubleshoot which individual panel(s) within the string is responsible for that string's underperformance.

  • Patent number: 5803884
Abstract: The present invention provides an abdominal exercise apparatus having an adjustable curved back support. The machine is used to produce an exercise that isolates, stretches, works, and develops the muscles of the abdominal wall (abs). The machine positions and supports the body to prevent it from unfolding at the hips, eliminating use of the thigh flexors and pain they cause from the exercise. Then it arches the back, which in turn extends the abs fully. In a preferred embodiment, the tension of extension of the abs is adjustable through positioning of back support.

  • Patent number: 5491667
Abstract: A sense amplifier for sensing data from a pair of complementary bit lines. A bistable circuit is coupled to the bit lines through a pair of transistors. During the beginning of a sensing cycle, the transistors conduct allowing the bistable circuit to begin sensing the data on the lines. However, before the sense amplifier reaches one of its two stable states, the pair transistors cease conducting and isolate the bistable circuit from the bit lines. In this manner, the load associated with the bit lines is removed from the bistable circuit allowing it to more quickly sense data.

  • Patent number: 5257236
Abstract: An improved static memory is described which, when used in a dual port cache memory simplifies write cycles by providing latching of decoded address signals which are used in a subsequent memory cycle for writing. Improved logic is described which allows the propagation of data at the rate .function. with timing signals of frequency 1/2.function.. An improved sense amplifier which is isolated from the column lines is the array is used.

  • Patent number: 4823314
Abstract: A CMOS dual port RAM cell is disclosed wherein one of the word lines is parallel to one of the bit lines in the cell. One bit line is accessed through a p-channel transistor while the other bit lines are accessed through n-channel transistors. This configuration permits the cell to use a single well, thus permitting higher density.
