  • Publication number: 20070009623
Abstract: The present invention differs fundamentally from prior art because it provides for machining a substantial number of relatively thin annular tooling plates (10), fitting them together side-by-side in two opposed mold sides, and engraving the tread pattern into the interior face of the assembled plates in two or more complementary mold parts to form a unique tire mold (12). In one form of the disclosed construction two halves are built up and internally engraved to form a two-piece clamshell mold. This building up of annular plates (10) applies also to the construction of segmented molds, wherein there are multiple complementary mold sections which are joined to provide a complete circumferential mold. Thus, the invention applies to both two-piece clamshell molds and segmented molds. The invention encompasses an all engraved mold and all venting (22) in the circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 5160660
Abstract: An improved dry powder composition for use in aqueous solution in the bleaching and sanitizing of fabrics, which will cause minimal fabric or fabric dye damage upon direct contact of the concentrated composition with damp or wet fabric. The composition includes a first component comprising a dry dihalohydantoin, which in aqueous solution provides a source of available bleaching and sanitizing chlorine; and a second component comprising an inhibiting system in an effective amount to inhibit the activity of available chlorine from the first component such that fabric or fabric dye degradation is beneath a predetermined level when the concentration of the first component of the composition is above saturation with respect to the aqueous solvent. The inhibiting system comprises 5,5-dimethylhydantoin, and one or more dry acidifying agents which function to buffer a 50% aqueous solution/suspension of said composition to a pH of 5.0 or below.

  • Patent number: 4996001
Abstract: According to the invention, in a process for agglomerating a mass of particulates containing hydratable or hydrated inorganic salts wherein the particulates are sprayed with a silicate solution to form agglomerates and the resulting agglomerates are subjected to an aging/drying step to allow hydration equilization and excess water evaporation, the improvement comprises replacing a portion of the particulates with puffed borax as an agglomerating aid to minimize aging/drying time.

  • Patent number: 4973424
Abstract: An improved composition is disclosed for use in aqueous solution in the bleaching and/or sanitizing of fabrics. The composition comprises a polychlorinated cyanurate, which in aqueous solution provide a source of available bleaching and sanitizing chlorine; and an inhibiting system for inhibiting the activity of available chlorine from said polychlorinated cyanurate to a level beneath a predetermined fabric or fabric dye degradation level, when the concentration of said polychlorinated cyanurate is at or above saturation with respect to the aqueous solvent. The inhibiting system comprising cyanauric acid, and one or more additional salts which function to bring a 50% aqueous solution/suspension of the composition to a pH in the range of 6.1 to 7.6.
