  • Publication number: 20180081124
Abstract: A spring push for a fiber optic connector includes an engagement member having a slot to receive a handle that also engages a distal portion of the engagement number. The spring push, along with the handle, allows for fiber optic connectors to be installed and removed from adapters in high density applications. The spring push can be installed into a connector housing and, along with other components, be a fiber optic connector. The engagement member may also originate from other parts of the fiber optic connector.

  • Patent number: 9910226
Abstract: A unitary fiber optic ferrule reflects light off an interior lens and through the fiber optic ferrule. Optical fibers can be easily secured in the unitary fiber optic ferrule. An adapter to secure the unitary fiber optic ferrule to a optical component assembly is also presented. The adapter provides a sealing function for the lenses and to provide routing for optical fibers from other assemblies of unitary fiber optic ferrules and adapters.

  • Publication number: 20180040067
Abstract: A method, device, system, and computer medium for providing odd lot pricing evaluation of a security using market-acceptable odd lot pricing range (OLP range) are provided. For example, a price quote for an odd lot transaction or potential transaction of a security is received. An Odd Lot Pricing range (OLP range) for the quote is searched. If the OLP range is found for the quote, the quoted price is compared against the OLP range. Based on the comparison, the quote can be verified or indicated as requiring further review.

  • Publication number: 20180011253
Abstract: An apparatus allows a plurality of optical fibers to be held together during the termination process. A handling device holds the optical fibers while a cleaving device allows for consistent cleaving of the optical fibers to ensure the ends are cleaved consistently. The handling device may also be used during the fixation of the optical fibers in the fiber optic ferrule. A method for terminating the plurality of optical fiber is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9810856
Abstract: An adapter for a fiber optic connector has provides strain relief for a jacketed cable connected to the adapter and the connector. The adapter preferably has two portions that act together to engage the jacketed cable and a boot that applies pressure to the adapter to secure the adapter. The two portions of the adapter may also be rotatably connected to one another. The boot has a projection that cooperates with an optical component to seal the adapter and optical component from outside particulates.

  • Publication number: 20170305699
Abstract: A web roll handling and loading system and methods employ hubs positioned on opposing sides of a roll of web material wound on a hollow tubular core. Hub faces have an annular shape configured to be seated in respective ends of the hollow tubular core. The hubs are pivotably supported for pivoting between an operational position and a deflected position. The roll of web material is loaded on the hubs by lifting it from beneath the hubs to deflect the hub faces arcuately upward, then lowering the roll to allow the hub faces to pivot downward and become seated in the ends of the hollow tubular core. Alternatively, the roll is loaded into a pick-up tool by lowering the pick-up tool downward to the roll so the hubs deflect arcuately upward, then raising the tool so the hubs pivot downward and become seated in the hollow tubular core.

  • Patent number: 9438428
Abstract: The present invention uses Server-based Certificate Validation Protocol (SCVP) to validate the public key digital signature certificate of an email signer (or the public key encryption certificate of an email recipient) by using a modified SCVP server such that a trustworthiness indicator based on certificate policies is included in an SCVP server response that maps the certificate policies asserted in the public key certificate of the email signer (or email recipient(s)) to graphically represent the degree of trust that can be attributed to the identities bound to public key certificates containing one or more certificate policies. The graphical representation of a trust level may appear directly in an email client and is based on the level of trust attributable to the binding between the public key distributed via a public key certificate (for signing or encryption) and the identity/attributes of the “subject” or “entity” contained in that certificate.

  • Publication number: 20160249827
Abstract: A compact, on-airway, respiratory gas analyzer for performing pulmonary function tests incorporates an IR spectroscopy light guide having a curved, rather than linear, sample chamber that lies transverse to a direction of respiratory gas flow. Cooperating with the sample chamber is an impact plate that functions to steer respiratory and test gases impinging on the impact plate into the curved sample chamber. A source of IR energy is at one end of the sample chamber and an electro-optical sensor responsive to IR energy is disposed at an opposite end of the chamber. The respiratory gas analyzer also includes gas flow paths and valving for carrying out lung capacity and lung diffusion tests.
