The processor may be configured to receive contact information and associated sender-based context information. In this regard, the contact information and sender-based context information may have been transmitted from a sending device. The processor may also be configured to associate receiver-based context information with the contact information and identify a historical context within a historical multi-dimensional context environment based at least in part on the sender-based context information and the receiver-based context information. Further, the processor may be configured to link the contact information to the historical context. Associated methods and computer program products may also be provided.

The method includes providing a hierarchical multi-level decision tree structure comprised of internal nodes and leaf nodes, where the decision tree structure represents a task. The method further includes navigating, using information derived from detected mental states of the user, through levels of the decision tree structure to reach a leaf node to accomplish the task. The step of navigating includes selecting, using the information derived from the detected mental states of the user, between attribute values associated with internal nodes of the decision tree structure. As non-limiting examples, the device may be a communication device, and the task may be a name dialing or a command/control task.

Abstract: Techniques for audio summary of activity for a user include tracking activity at one or more network sources associated with a user. One audio stream that summarizes the activity over a particular time period is generated. The audio stream is caused to be delivered to a particular device associated with the user. A duration of a complete rendering of the audio stream is shorter than the particular time period. In some embodiments, a link to content related to at least a portion of the audio stream is also caused to be delivered for a user.

Abstract: A mobile device or MS having voice user interface (UI) as part of its multimodal input/output capabilities is provided with a storage area for storing a profile indicating the voice UI capabilities. The profile indicates the automatic speech recognition, text-to-speech, vocabulary and grammar capabilities, amongst others. An application, such as a diary program or one allowing entry into a lotto, is initialized on the MS with reference to the profile. When the application is run, the profile is referred to such that parts of the application which are appropriate to the profile are run whilst those which are inappropriate to the profile are not run. Alternatively, the application may be run on a voice UI application server forming part of a base station. An emulator for testing an application using a profile of a target device is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for providing context aware queries in a network may include receiving a question directed to a question answering service from an originating node, routing the question to one or more candidate nodes selected based at least in part on context information associated with the question, receiving an answer to the question from at least one of the candidate nodes, and providing the answer to the originating node based at least in part on result parameters associated with the originating node. An apparatus and computer program product corresponding to the method are also provided.

Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and computer program products provide for a reflective media system, where the source of a media file may automatically receive information about how recipients of the media file are using the media file. For example, a user may communicate copies of the user's media files to a community of other people, such as friends, family, schoolmates, co-workers, and the like. As the people in the community annotate or edit their copies of the media files, these annotations or edits are communicated back to the user, i.e., the source of the media files. The user can then use these annotations or edits in order to annotate or edit the user's copy of the media files in a similar way. A system may also be provided for reflecting more general use information back to the source of a shared media file.

Abstract: A user interface for mobile devices, which is suitable for retrieving messages and services by pointing a specific point. The device must be equipped with a positioning system and orientation sensors for determining the pointing direction. Then, the direction is sent to a server which determines if there are any defined specific points in the pointing direction. If there are messages for the user for the calculate specific point, the messages will be transmitted to the device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to provision of connections in a communication system, and more particularly, to establishment of a connection involving a mobile station subscribing to a first mobile communications network and roaming in a second mobile communications network. The communication system comprises a first connection management entity provided in association with the first mobile communication network and a second connection management entity provided in association with the second mobile communication network. In the method the roaming mobile station is registered with the second mobile communications network and with the second connection management entity. In response to a request for a connection involving the roaming mobile station, signalling that associates with the request is routed to one of the connection management entities.

The method comprises storing location dependent routing information in a data storage, providing a terminal with location dependent routing information stored in the data storage and establishing connection between the terminal and at least one other terminal using location dependent routing information provided by the data storage. At least one of the terminals is a mobile terminal and information for routing the connection between the terminals is selected based on the location of the at least one mobile terminal.
