Abstract: A method for providing a mechanism by which different user interface effects may be performed for different motion events may include receiving an indication of a motion event at a motion sensor, determining a motion gesture of the motion event, determining a motion property of the motion event, and enabling provision a user interface effect based on the motion property of the motion event. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.

Abstract: A method for providing routing information for establishing connections over a communication system comprising a plurality of communication networks is described. The method comprises storing location dependent routing information in a data storage, providing a terminal with location dependent routing information stored in the data storage and establishing connection between the terminal and at least one other terminal using location dependent routing information provided by the data storage. At least one of the terminals is a mobile terminal and information for routing the connection between the terminals is selected based on the location of the at least one mobile terminal.

The journal creator classifies context data associated with a user according to a plurality of dimensions, granularities, or a combination thereof. Next, the journal creator recognizes one or more events in the context data based, at least in part, on the classification. Then, the journal creator creates one or more hierarchies of the recognized events based, at least in part, on the dimensions and the granularities, and presents, communicates or publishes them in a visually friendly format, along with additional information such as metadata and advertisements, and further details associated with each events of the journal.

Abstract: A method and system for users to select and participate in call-in broadcast programs are disclosed. A user speaks a station name into a mobile device, providing an indication that the request is for a broadcast channel, to tune the mobile device to that channel. The user initiates a request to contact a show by inputting an indication that the user would like to contact the show. The mobile device sends the request to a call server, which looks up the show's contact information based on the current channel being received by the mobile device, and forwards the request to a show representative. The show representative screens calls and provide automated responses. When the show's representative accepts a request to contact the show, the call server initiates a connection between the mobile device and a telephone or other device associated with the show. Once the connection has been established, the call server withdraws from the connection, allowing the user to communicate with the show representative.

Abstract: A method and system for setting up a notification for the user of a mobile communication device using simple, well-known mechanisms such as e-mail and natural language expressions. The method comprises the steps of: receiving a notification configuration, and generating one or more notification criteria con-elated to the notification configuration, such that the user is notified of communication meeting the notification criteria. The system includes a storage device for storing notification received from the user and the correlated notification criteria, and a processor in communication with the storage device that correlates the notification configuration to the notification criteria and provides notification to the user when a received communication meets the notification criteria.
