Patents by Inventor Pablo BARTOLUCCI

Pablo BARTOLUCCI has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 11662303
Abstract: The aim of the present invention is to propose a novel method for spectral study of a biological fluid from an absorption spectrum of a sample of the biological fluid. The inventors have made an original use of spectroscopy in order to accurately determine the protein content of a biological sample, in particular for oxyhaemoglobin, methaemoglobin, bilirubin and the haem bound to serum albumin. Such a method can be used in a variety of applications concerning haem- or haemoprotein- related diseases, in particular diagnostic methods, treatment follow-up methods, methods for determining biomarkers or screening methods. Such a method is also advantageous for qualifying blood bags.

Assignees: INSTITUT NATIONAL DE LA SANTE ET DE LA RECHERCHE MEDICALE, UNIVERSITE PARIS EST CRETEIL VAL DE MARNE
Inventors: Laurent Kiger, Michael Marden, Pablo Bartolucci, France Pirenne
  • Publication number: 20220398942
Abstract: Method for manufacturing a tridimensional blood vessel model using stereolithography and optionally cell culture. Applications include surgery training, research on pathology such as SCDs and in vitro drug testing e.g. for antiplatelets. Existing models are not compatible with cell culture and cannot withstand high pressure, as opposed to the present invention. Stereolithography allows modelling of complex vessels such as carotid siphons as opposed to other existing methods.

  • Publication number: 20220324983
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of treating chronic kidney disease due to sickle cell nephropathy in a patient in need of such treatment, comprising administering a pharmaceutically effective amount of an anti-P-selectin antibody or a binding fragment thereof to said patient and related invention embodiments (uses, methods, pharmaceutical preparations and use in the preparation of pharmaceutical preparations).

  • Patent number: 11231427
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for determining, by flow cytometry, the hemoglobin F (HbF) content of each erythroid cell of a set of erythroid cells. This method applies in particular to determining the HbF content of each red blood cell of a set of red blood cells. The invention also concerns a method for determining the amount of red blood cells transfused into a patient and for monitoring the therapeutic efficacy of a treatment for sickle cell disease or ?-thalassemia.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 3, 2017
Date of Patent: January 25, 2022
Assignees: UNIVERSITE PARIS EST CRETEIL VAL DE MARNE, INSTITUT NATIONAL DE LA SANTE ET DE RECHERCHE MEDICALE (INSERM), ETABLISSEMENT FRANCAIS DU SANG, ASSISTANCE PUBLIQUE—HOPITAUX DE PARIS
Inventors: Marie Cambot, Gaetana Vandemeulebrouck, France Noizat Pirenne, Pablo Bartolucci, Marie Georgine Rakotoson, Frédéric Galacteros, Nicolas Hebert

  • Publication number: 20220011217
Abstract: A method for determining at least one protein in the blood which is more precise while still being simple to implement. The method exploits in an original way the spectroscopy and the dosing techniques to determine accurately the content in proteins of the biological sample, notably for oxyhemoglobin, methemoglobin, heme bound to serum albumin and hemopexin and bilirubin. Such method can advantageously be used in various applications concerning heme-related or hemoprotein-related disorders, notably method for diagnosing, for following a treatment, for determining biomarkers or for screening. Such a method is also interesting for qualifying blood bags.
