  • Publication number: 20180117539
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a poly-ionic and molecular filtering and diffuser device, which provides for the emission of gases when used from the inside out, and a separation of suspended matter (e.g., in macro, micro and nano ranges) in liquids for a variety of fluids when is used from the outside inwards. The device may include a central diffuser tube defining a plurality of perforations in its wall to allow passage of gas and liquids, and which is inserted through central holes of a plurality of plates diffusers arranged in a vertical arrangement. This combination may define a plurality of slots by the separations generated therebetween, whereby the gas or the liquid is spread. The diffuser-separating plates are contained between a top compression cap and a lower compression cap through which said central diffuser-collector tube is also inserted. The central diffuser-collector tube includes a threaded lower end, wherein a final lower lid is threaded.

  • Publication number: 20150041412
Abstract: A Polyionic Molecular Diffuser and Filter Method. The device and method provides superlative filtration in macro, micro and nano ranges for a variety of fluids. The device utilizes filtration elements that are relatively low cost, yet provide the significant advantage of being able to be back-flushed periodically to remove captured solids. The device employs an arrangement of filter elements wherein the filtration axis of the filters is perpendicular to the flow axis of the collecting housing. The device and method further provides a way for adjusting filter to capture different sizes of solids, depending upon the particular user adjustment. This same filter is adaptable to operate as a gas diffuser that will diffuse gas into a liquid in a very controllable manner, while also purifying the diffused air.

  • Patent number: 8474450
Abstract: A method for positioning a cannula for permanent implant through the orifice or tracheostoma in a fully aligned manner with the help of an inserter. The inner end or suprastomal extension of the cannula, upon withdrawing the inserter is vertically positioned in the supra-ostial area of the trachea, allowing, once the permanent cannula has been permanently positioned, the introduction of a perforated cannula having a characteristic curvature therethrough. The perforated cannula is oriented, through the lower aperture of the permanent cannula -1-, towards the interior of the lungs in order to allow insufflation of air from the exterior, while the exhaled air is derived through the vertical extension towards the larynx through the orifices disposed in the curvature elbow thereof.

  • Publication number: 20110047271
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for allocating resources in a communication network including several nodes capable of transmitting and receiving data and a central node capable of allocating resources. At least one node transmits one or more requests (Rnqt) to the central node with each request (Rnqt) being associated with a requirement (qi). The central node allocates a lifetime (?tqi) to each request (Rnqt) according to the requirement (qi) of the request. Each request (Rnqt) is scheduled in a queue according to the lifetime (?tqi) and the moment of receipt (tR) of the request.

  • Patent number: 7609179
Abstract: The speed of dictionary based decompression is limited by the cost of accessing random values in the dictionary. If the size of the dictionary can be limited so it fits into cache, decompression is made to be CPU bound rather than memory bound. To achieve this, a value prefix coding scheme is presented, wherein value prefixes are stored in the dictionary to get good compression from small dictionaries. Also presented is an algorithm that determines the optimal entries for a value prefix dictionary. Once the dictionary fits in cache, decompression speed is often limited by the cost of mispredicted branches during Huffman code processing. A novel way is presented to quantize Huffman code lengths to allow code processing to be performed with few instructions, no branches, and very little extra memory. Also presented is an algorithm for code length quantization that produces the optimal assignment of Huffman codes and show that the adverse effect of quantization on the compression ratio is quite small.

  • Patent number: 4799406
Abstract: An improved device for stripping electrical and similar wires is disclosed. A main body and an arm are articulated at one end of each. The main body includes cutting blades at the top of arcuate openings. The cable to be stripped is clamped between the articulated members so that the cutting blade cuts the sheath to be removed from the electric cable but does not cut the underlying conductor. Additional features include capability of longitudinal cutting of the sheathing, controlled graduation means for precise control of the depth of cut, and a cooperating recess and projection arrangement for easy removal of the cut sheath.
