Abstract: A system receives a quota request in which a tenant, one or more locations, and a capacity upper limit related to a requested quota are designated, executes conflict determination n based on quota information, and adds information related to the requested quota to the quota information when a result of the conflict determination is false. The quota information includes information representing a tenant, one or more locations, and a capacity upper limit for each quota of the plurality of storage devices at the plurality of locations. For each of the plurality of locations, a capacity usable by the tenant among a capacity of the storage device at the location is equal to or less than the capacity upper limit of the quota corresponding to the location and the tenant.

Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may determine a replication criteria for replication of user information and/or resource information between a first computing site and a second computing site. The computing device may perform the replication between the first computing site and the second computing site based on the replication criteria. Further, the computing device may determine at least one of a user correspondence or a resource correspondence between the first computing site and the second computing site based on performing the replication. The computing device may replicate permission information between the first computing site and the second computing site based at least on the user correspondence and/or the resource correspondence.

Abstract: In some examples, one or more processors are able to communicate with a plurality of user devices associated with a plurality of users, and the one or more processors may provide a plurality of applications executable in association with the plurality of users. For each application of the plurality of applications, the one or more processors may determine data access permissions for the application. Additionally, the one or more processors may determine data access permissions for individual users of a plurality of users. Based on the data access permissions for the plurality of users and the data access permissions for the plurality of applications, the one or more processors may generate a data structure including data access permissions for each of the applications. Further, the computing device may determine an ingest speed based on a quantity of data received by the first storage system and a copy speed associated with one or more first computing resources associated with the first storage system. The computing device may determine an estimated time to copy at least a portion of the pending data to the second storage system to meet a data copy requirement. For instance, the estimated time may be based at least in part on the copy speed, the amount of pending data, and the ingest speed. In addition, at least one action may be performed based on the estimated time.

Abstract: In some examples, a first computing device may generate a first data structure that includes a listing of one or more objects having been determined to be more likely than other objects stored by the first computing device to have been incorrectly synchronized to a second computing device. Based at least in part on a first object being listed in the first data structure, the first computing device may compare a state of the first object with a state of a synchronized object stored by the second computing device. Further, based at least on determining a difference between the state of the first object and the state of the synchronized object, the first computing device may reconcile the difference by causing at least one data operation to be performed at the second computing device to change the state of the synchronized object.

Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may determine an estimated available capacity at a future time for respective storage nodes of a plurality of storage nodes. The computing device may compare the estimated available capacity of a first one of the storage nodes at the future time with the estimated available capacity of a second one of the storage nodes at the future time. Based at least in part on determining that a difference between the estimated available capacity of the first storage node and the estimated available capacity of the second storage node exceeds a threshold difference, determining an amount of data to move from the first storage node. The computing device may cause data to be moved from the first storage node to cause the difference between the available capacity of the first storage node and the available capacity of the second storage node to be reduced.

Abstract: A management system manages a plurality of logical volumes in a storage system coupled to a host system. The plurality of logical volumes includes a first logical volume provided to the host system and a second logical volume. The management system manages the second logical volume as a duplicate of the first logical volume and a first state volume which is provided to the host system. The management system changes the second logical volume to a second state volume associated with the first logical volume, which is not a logical volume provided to the host system and which is on standby for a future use by the host system. The management system manages a data difference between data stored in the second logical volume and data stored in the first logical volume associated with the second logical volume if data is newly stored in the first logical volume.
