  • Patent number: 12338799
Abstract: A system for repositioning two components of a wind turbine with respect to each other, the two components being connected to each other by means of a bolted joint and the system includes at least one alignment tool kit. Further provided is a bolted joint of two components of a wind turbine.

  • Patent number: 6038795
Abstract: A dredge having substantially a box-like shape, with an open front face and an open rear face, the rear face having a door hinged thereto and a lock member to hold the door in a locked position. An A-shaped frame member is pivotally secured to the front end of the dredge. Pivotable motion of the A-frame raises the front edge of the dredge over an obstruction. A pulley assembly is secured to the rear top end of the dredge, and a cable from the A-frame is placed over the pulley when the A-frame is to be pivoted to raise the dredge. A door is hinged to the rear side of the dredge. A locking hinge is secured to the rear of the dredge to lock the door in a closed position. The locking hinge includes a pivoting edge, which engages the top edge of the door, and a rectangular bar secured under the locking hinge. The rectangular bar has a width greater than the height so that rotation of the bar produces a pivoting motion of the locking hinge to unlock the door.

  • Patent number: 5139219
Abstract: The present invention is a bag holder for plastic trash bags for use outdoors, such as lawns, gardens, and the like. A standard is provided with a pointed lower end, and a foot peg for pushing the end of the standard into the ground. An adjustable clamp assembly is disposed on the standard and may be moved along the standard to a desired point and locked. An elongate flat spring strip of metal or plastic having a length greater than the circumferance of the largest trash bag to be used is attached to the clamp assembly. The spring strip is bent into a circle and the opening of the bag is drawn over the spring strip which is released to hold the bag.

  • Patent number: 4844109
Abstract: An extendible and retractable shelter for a vehicle has a plurality of bows slidable along a pair of ground mounted tracks from an extended position to a retracted position. A flexible canvas or plastic covering is attached to the bows when extended and collapses in accordion fashion when retracted. A lazy tongs mechanism is attached to the interior faces of the bows and are loaded by tension springs. The bows are retracted by a cable and winch system, placing the springs under tension and locked by a ratchet lock. When the lock is released, the tension springs return the bows to the extended position.

  • Patent number: 4669678
Abstract: A gravity controlled automatic paper winder for continuous type paper form a printer has a spool supported by a framework. The spool is coupled by a ratchet assembly to a motor and gear reduction assembly and permits the spool to rotate only in a direction to wind paper onto the spool. The motor and gear reduction assembly is supported only by the gear reduction output shaft and is free to rotate about the ratchet assembly. A limit switch on the framework controls power to the motor. When paper is fed from a printer to the spool, the motor and gear reduction assembly rotates downward by gravity to contact the limit switch, energizing the motor. When no paper is fed from the printer, tension due to rotation of the spool causes the motor and gear reduction assembly to rotate upward, opening the limit switch and deenergizing the motor.

  • Patent number: 4228360
Abstract: Apparatus for producing useful work from wave motion in a body of water. The apparatus translates wave motions of varying periods to continuous rotational kinetic energy which is then available to perform useful work. A float assembly is anchored off shore and communicates with the shore via a steel cable. The float rises and falls with the waves and is arranged to cause a reciprocating translational motion of the cable. A cable drum assembly is anchored to the ground on the shore and adapted to reel and unreel the cable by means of a rewind spring. As the cable unreels, the drum drives a transfer gear via a first ratchet which is therefore operative only in one direction. The transfer gear winds a heavy spiral energy storage spring via a second ratchet. The spring is attached to an anchor plate which drives a shaft. The shaft is coupled via a step-up gear train to an energy storage flywheel.
