    Abstract: A differential comparator circuit is provided that includes a differential input pair, an active load, a pair of cross voltage generation devices and a pair of switches. The differential input pair has a pair of input terminals and a pair of first connection terminals. The active load has a pair of second connection terminals. The cross voltage generation devices are electrically coupled between the first connection terminals and the second connection terminals, wherein the cross voltage generation devices are configured to be electrically activated to establish a cross voltage therebetween in a reset phase and electrically deactivated to become a short circuit in an operation phase. The switches are configured to electrically couple the pair of input terminals respectively to the pair of first connection terminals in the reset phase and not electrically couple the pair of input terminals respectively from the pair of first connection terminals.

    Abstract: A bicycle brake shoe, comprising: a support bar; a seat; a brake pad, which is mounted on the seat and for braking pressed against a wheel rim on a contact surface having a front end which faces an opposite movement of the wheel rim; a moving block, mounted on the seat close to the front end of the brake pad, projecting from the brake pad towards the wheel rim, pressed by a spring. The moving block is movable perpendicular to the contact surface of the brake pad and has a projecting surface which upon braking touches the wheel rim prior to the contact surface of the brake pad, scraping water, gravel and dirt from the wheel rim. Thus a braking effect unhampered by water or dirt is achieved.

    Abstract: An electromotive gear-shift control apparatus for bicycles, which is to be used in a bicycle provided with a gear-shift apparatus; the driving force for such apparatus is furnished with the power of pedals thereof; a motor is used for determining the input of the gear shift; the apparatus comprises a housing, a transmission mechanism, a switch mechanism, and an index mechanism; the housing is a fixed member fastened on the frame of a bicycle; the power source for gear shift is supplied by the driving force of the power shaft between two pedals of bicycle; the switch mechanism is mounted in the housing; the input power form the transmission mechanism is converted, by means of the motor, into a displacement output required by gear shift; the index mechanism is mounted behind the switch mechanism inside the housing, and it is used for converting the vector displacement form the switch mechanism into a step-function output, which is then transmitted, through a cable, into the gear-shift apparatus of the bicycle.

    Abstract: A free wheel rotary body structure for use in a bicycle is disclosed. It includes a free wheel kernel having a pair of axially extending ratchet pawl bearings at diametrically opposite positions relative to each other and a pair of ring grooves. The rotary body structure also includes first and second sets of one-way clutches. Each of the one-way clutches includes a c-spring and a pair of ratchet pawls. The pair of c-springs are received in the pair of ring grooves, respectively, of the free wheel kernel, and the pairs of ratchet pawls are received in the diametrically opposing pawl bearings, respectively, of the free wheel kernel. The pair of ratchet pawls in the first set of one-way clutch are of different shapes and dimensions from the pair of ratchet pawls in the second set of one-way clutch, so as to form phase difference when one of each pair of the ratchet pawls is engaged with the ratchet teeth groove of the free wheel housing.

    Abstract: A bicycle sprocket set is composed of a small sprocket and a large sprocket coaxial with the small sprocket. The large sprocket is provided with an axially oriented recess in the bottom portion located between the first tooth and the second tooth of the large sprocket. The recess has a support curved face extending from the second tooth. The large sprocket is further provided with a support protrusion located under the support curved face such that the support protrusion is separated from the support curved face by a distance corresponding to about one tooth pitch. The support curved face and the support protrusion serve to support the inner and the outer chain plates of a drive chain at such time when the gearshifting takes place.

    Abstract: A sprocket trimming method for a multi-stage sprocket assembly is disclosed which includes the steps of: (1) aligning the two sprockets at a gear shift position where a chain is escaping from one sprocket and engaging with another sprocket and is being tilted at a tilting angle; (2) using a computer aided design simulation to simulate how the gear shift operation is taking place and thus identify the portion of the sprocket tooth that will be overlapped and/or interfered with the chain when the chain is moved from an escaping sprocket tooth to an engaging sprocket tooth; and (3) trimming the overlapping and interference portion of the sprocket teeth to a depth according to the following equation: ##EQU1## wherein: D is the depth of the overlapping and interference portion of the sprocket teeth to be trimmed, w is the pitch width of the chain, Lc is the pitch length of the chain, .theta.

    Abstract: A bicycle front derailleur with a cam level for smoother gear switching is disclosed. The bicycle derailleur is operated by pulling a wire which shifts a chain between at least a large sprocket, a medium sprocket and a small sprocket. The bicycle front derailleur contains a cam lever which is pivotably connected to a four-linkage chain guide moving system at a pivoting point for pulling the chain guide moving system, and thus shifting the chain, when a cable is pulled in a pulling direction. The cam lever has a cam groove formed on the peripheral surface of the cam lever for receiving the wire. The cam lever is structured such that the radial distance between the cam groove and the pivoting point increases in a direction opposite of the pulling direction, so as to provide a greater effective length vertical to the pulling direction when the wire is subject to a greater linear displacement resulting in a greater counterforce.

    Abstract: A multi-speed sprocket assembly of a bicycle includes at least a small sprocket and a large sprocket which enable the chain to engage with different sprockets to attain the chain shifting effect by the guidance of the rear derailleur device. The improvement of the multi-speed sprocket assembly includes three feature teeth being furnished at both the large sprocket and the small sprocket wherein a side recess is formed on each of the feature teeth at the surface of a sprocket facing another sprocket, in addition, at the first and second feature teeth of the small sprocket, there is a circular top end recess extended from the top of the teeth at the surface subjected to forces and penetrated through the circular top end recess of the whole teeth.
