  • Publication number: 20150269604
Abstract: A method and system platform for conducting mobile device market research into advertising effectiveness across varying media including mobile devices are disclosed. The method can include providing a previously defined data set comprising a list of mobile device respondents and related data. The method can include obtaining first party data for a subset of one or more mobile respondents from the list of mobile device respondents that participated in a predetermined activity. The method can include obtaining third party data for the subset of one or more mobile respondents that participated in the predetermined activity. The method can include correlating the first party data and the third party data. The method can include refining the previously defined data set based on the correlated first party data and third party data.

  • Publication number: 20140248913
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a mechanism for optimizing the reception and storage of mobile user data. Data relating to mobile user location, behavior, and profiles are received from mobile users and stored at a storage system in an efficient manner. The efficiency is achieved by identifying what system parameters may be adjusted to reduce storage requirements while still providing sufficient data for useful analysis. System parameters that may change to reduce storage requirements include, e.g., the type of mobile user data collected, the frequency at which mobile user data is collected, the events or conditions that trigger data collection, and dynamically adjusting data collection upon detecting a number of event or time-based triggers.

  • Patent number: 8731993
Abstract: An apparatus for compiling images within a respondent interface includes a survey datastore recording surveys including one or more test images. A rendering engine accesses the survey datastore and displays the one or more test images with controls for at least one respondent to provide feedback about the one or more test images during at least two modes of operation. A respondent feedback object instantiation engine detects respondent interaction with a touch screen displaying the one or more test images during first and second modes of operation, and records results of the respondent interaction in a feedback datastore by feedback types according to the first and second modes of operation.

  • Publication number: 20130328921
Abstract: An apparatus utilizes heat maps to represent respondent sentiments. A datastore has recorded therein respondent feedback corresponding to detected interaction by respondents, during first and second modes of operation, with a touch screen displaying a test image. The respondent feedback is recorded in the datastore by feedback types according to the first and second modes of operation. A feedback compilation engine compiles the respondent feedback according to the feedback types. A heat map rendering engine graphically renders the respondent feedback as a feedback type specific heat map overlaying the test image.

  • Publication number: 20130332234
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a mechanism for conducting meaningful market research on respondents using mobile devices. Data contained in code-based indicia relating to a mobile respondent is leveraged to initiate more effective market research applications such as surveys and the like. Using such information, a market research enterprise interested in focused market research may initiate market research specifically related to that mobile respondent, perhaps accounting for the mobile respondent's location, purchase history, financial means and associations, etc. The market research applications may be transmitted to mobile respondents by a number of different mechanisms such as push messages, text messages, SRS messages, emails, etc. Also, mobile respondents may download and install an application that allows them to quickly access the market research applications and transmit the market research data.
