  • Publication number: 20150313183
Abstract: A poncho for use with a pet to protect the pet from environmental elements and enhance safety by minimizing trip and choking hazards is provided. The poncho also prevents soiling, increases comfort, conserves body heat, and allows free movement of the pet's legs in all daily activities while reducing a likelihood of skin chafing experienced by the pet. The poncho includes a generally rectangular fabric layer having a front edge with a first portion and a second portion coupled together to create an opening sufficiently large to permit the pet's head to pass through, the rectangular fabric layer having an inner surface that rests on a body portion of the pet, and an elastic strap coupled to the inner surface of the rectangular fabric layer proximate the opening. The elastic strap conforms to contours of a chest region of the pet, thereby securing the poncho to the pet.

  • Publication number: 20110082096
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention concern methods, compositions and uses thereof, relating to at least one of vitiligo, or vitiligo-associated autoimmune/autoinflammatory disease (VAAAD). In particular embodiments, genetic variations in the NALP1 gene are of use to detect, diagnose, predict the risk of or treat at least one of vitiligo or VAAAD. In more particular embodiments, the presence of genetic variations such as single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in NALP1 genetic region are of use to detect, diagnose or predict the risk of VAAAD. In other embodiments, inhibitors targeted to NALP1, caspase-1 or caspase-5, ASC (PYCARD), interleukin-1?, interleukin-1? receptor, or interleukin 18 may be administered to a subject to treat VAAAD.

  • Patent number: 7661549
Abstract: A pair of containers, provide complimentary outer surface contours so as to be mutually engagable in intimate nesting contact. Each of the containers provides an outwardly extending embossment and an inwardly extending groove. The embossment of each of containers is positioned and sized for frictional engagement with the groove on the other of the pair of containers for mutual securement of the containers when the containers are nested, thereby enabling the containers to be engaged and handled as a unit while dispensing different materials.
