  • Publication number: 20100264534
Abstract: A chip package structure includes a circuit substrate, a chip, at least one bonding wire, and an adhesive layer. The circuit substrate has a bonding surface and at least one pad disposed on the bonding surface. The chip is disposed on the bonding surface of the circuit substrate and has an active surface away from the circuit substrate and at least one contact pad disposed on the active surface. The bonding wire is connected between the contact pad and the pad, such that the chip is electrically connected to the circuit substrate through the bonding wire. The bonding wire includes a copper layer, a nickel layer covering the copper layer, and a gold layer covering the nickel layer. The adhesive layer is disposed between the pad and the bonding wire and between the contact pad and the bonding wire and respectively covers two terminals of the bonding wire.

  • Publication number: 20100172461
Abstract: A shift register including shift register units substantially cascaded is disclosed. Each shift register unit is controlled by first and second clock signals opposite to each other for generating an output signal. Each shift register unit includes first and second switch devices and first and second devices. The first switch device provides the output signal through an output node. The first driving device drives the first switch device according to a first input signal to activate the output signal. The second driving device provides a first voltage signal, according to the first clock signal, to drive the first switch device and de-activate the output signal. When the first switch device de-activates the output signal, the second switch device provides the second voltage signal to the output node according to the second clock signal. A level of the first voltage signal is lower than a level of the second voltage signal.

  • Patent number: 7364357
Abstract: A lid for article of cookware is covered over a considerable portion of its surface with a thermochromic ink or paint to form a first thermochromic indicator. This first thermochromic indicator undergoes a readily visible change in appearance to notify the cook that the underlying cookware vessel and/or the contents thereof have reached the desired temperature. A second thermochromic indicator on the lid is used to indicate that liquid in the pot is also boiling, or that a certain time has elapsed since the change in appearance of the first thermochromic indicator. The first thermochromic indicator preferably surrounds the second thermochromic indicator and is separated therefrom by a thermal insulator to create or extend the time lag between each indicator reaching their respective thermochromic transition temperatures.

  • Patent number: 5995564
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting when a dynamic signal is stable. The apparatus is couplable to a first charge pump connected to receive the dynamic signal and generate a first signal as a function of the dynamic signal. The first charge pump has a predetermined capacitance and current.

  • Patent number: 5764695
Abstract: An adaptive equalizer capable of providing compensation for a wide range of cables having different cable characteristics and different cable lengths. The adaptive equalizer comprises a programmable gain amplifier capable of providing a variable amplification factor in response to a feedback control signal. The gain amplifier is configured to receive pulse signals transmitted over a communication channel. A peak detecting equalizer is coupled to the gain amplifier so as to receive its output signals. A pulse shape detector is adapted to receive pulse signals provided by the peak detecting equalizer, and generate a first indication signal indicating over-equalization and a second indication signal indicating under-equalization. A gain control circuit receives the first and second indication signals to provide the feedback control signal to the programmable gain amplifier so as to vary its amplification factor.

  • Patent number: 5398000
Abstract: A simple and high speed BiCMOS tristate buffer circuit includes a first transistor coupled to a power supply and a first node. The first transistor has a control terminal coupled to receive a first signal. A second transistor is coupled to the first node and ground. The second transistor has a control terminal coupled to receive a second signal. A first bipolar transistor has a base coupled to the first node, a collector coupled to the power supply, and an emitter coupled to an output node of the circuit. A third transistor is coupled to the output node and the ground. The third transistor has a control terminal coupled to receive the second signal. A switching circuit is coupled to the first node and the output node for connecting the first node to the output node when the first and second signals turn off the first, second, and third transistors such that the output node assumes an open circuit condition. The switching circuit is controlled by a third signal.
