  • Publication number: 20080245122
Abstract: Method of production of springs made of wire of circular or other type crossectional area, that are produced after having formed first springs (6) of constant diameter smaller or equal to that of the final spring (7) and of constant pitch smaller or equal to the smallest pitch of the final spring (7), where by compressing in a controlled fashion the spring turn of the initial spring (6) from the interior direction towards the outer one and from the lower sides towards the spiral direction the selected pitch and the diameter of the final spring (7) are formed. The invention also relates to a system that is comprised of a main roller (1) with motion rollers (2), (3), (4) that are contacting it peripherally and a pin (5) in an elbow (12) that is connected to an axle (10) situated upon a base (11) that is capable of moving along its longitudinal axis and to revolve around it, transmitting through the elbow (12) the motion to the pin (5) so as to form the diameter and the pitch of the final spring (7).

  • Publication number: 20050257883
Abstract: The present invention refers to a method of producing innerspring mattress units made of springs encapsulated in a woven or non woven sheet, where the whole row of springs needed for the constructed side of the mattress is produced simultaneously by an equal number to the springs spring coiler machines. The invention also refers to a mattress made of springs encapsulated into pockets.

  • Publication number: 20010032359
Abstract: A round wire or flat wire promoted and having been straightened by the feeding straightening mechanism is measured by the length measuring instrument and shaped into a suitable elliptical or circular shape by a rotating arm with a jaw, is then cut to the desired length by a cutter, its ends being suitably shaped by a shaper prior to or following it and are connected by a connective mechanism with a suitable connective plate in a manner that the material of the means of connection penetrates into the suitable incisions formed by the cutter or the shaper. In the sequel, an arm transports the frame for bending into a suitably arranged bending unit where the frame takes its final shape.

  • Patent number: 5170654
Abstract: Method, applicable to two-dimensional wire bending machines for extension of their operation in bending to form three-dimensional wire frames, which is characterised by the application of a torsional moment along the axis of the wire and before the bending region, causing a permanent plastic deformation of the wire, by twisting it beyond the elastic region, with eventual result any bending action already occured in the regular plane of the two-dimensional bending macnine to be positioned a new plane, which form an angle with the regular plane equal to the remaining due to plastic deformation angle of twist.

  • Patent number: 5014533
Abstract: An apparatus for processing wire or rods includes a plurality of driven fixed rollers for feeding the wire or rod through the apparatus, each fixed roller having an axis of rotation normal to the central access of the wire rod. A plurality of adjustable rollers is provided for engaging the wire rod and imparting a plastic deformation thereto. Each adjustable roller has an axis of rotation and the adjustable rollers are offset from the fixed rollers. A device is provided for moving the adjustable rollers from a position out of engagement with the wire rod to a position engaging the wire rod. A device is also provided for independently adjusting the adjustable rollers so that the planes defined by the axis of rotation of the adjustable rollers are set at an adjustable angle to the central axis of the wire rod so that a desired torsion can be applied to the wire rod. A wire bending device is also provided for bending the wire or rod, and a cutter is provided for cutting the wire or rod.
