  • Publication number: 20240290654
Abstract: A method includes forming a first conductive feature over a semiconductor substrate, forming an ILD layer over the first conductive feature, patterning the ILD layer to form a trench, and forming a conductive layer over the patterned ILD layer to fill the trench. The method further includes polishing the conductive layer to form a via contact configured to interconnect the first conductive feature with a second conductive feature, where polishing the conductive layer exposes a top surface of the ILD layer, polishing the exposed top surface of the ILD layer, such that a top portion of the via contact protrudes from the exposed top surface of the ILD layer, and forming the second conductive feature over the via contact, such that the top portion of the via contact extends into the second conductive feature.

  • Publication number: 20160004526
Abstract: A bridge module for updating basic input/output system (BIOS) includes a universal series bus (USB) port and a series peripheral interface bus (SPI) port which are used to connect to a communication device and an electrical device respectively. The communication device stores a BIOS updating data and includes USB port. The electrical device includes a motherboard, a SPI port and a BIOS chip. The SPI port is electrically connected to the motherboard. The BIOS chip is electrically connected to the SPI port and stores a BIOS old data. The method includes the steps of making the bridge module connect to the communication device and the electrical device; and triggering updating process to make the communication device transmit the BIOS updating data to the electrical device through the bridge module to update the electrical device.

  • Patent number: 8243993
Abstract: A method for moving object detection includes the steps: obtaining successive images of the moving object and dividing the successive images into blocks; selecting one block, calculating color feature values of the block at a current time point and a following time point; according to the color feature values, obtaining an active part of the selected block; comparing the color feature value of the selected block at the current time point with that of the other blocks at the following time point to obtain a similarity relating to each of the other blocks, and defining a maximum similarity as a local correlation part; obtaining a motion-energy patch of the block according to the active part and the local correlation part; repeating the steps to obtain all motion-energy patches to form a motion-energy map; and acquiring the moving object at the current time point in the motion-energy map.

  • Publication number: 20120087630
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for dynamically adjusting an image are disclosed. The apparatus for dynamically adjusting the image includes a capturing unit, an optimum curve generating unit, a storage unit and an adjusting unit. The capturing unit captures a current frame on a display, and the storage unit stores reference curves. The optimum curve generating unit chooses one of the reference curves as an optimum curve according to the current frame, and the adjusting unit adjusts a gamma setting value of the display according to the optimum curve.

  • Publication number: 20100232644
Abstract: This invention discloses a method and system for counting the number of people. First, a first face information is stored in a memory. Then, an image is determined to be a complexion region or not. The complexion region is determined to be a real face or not. Next, a one-to-one similarity matching is processed between the potential face information and the first face information, when the similarity matching achieves a predetermined condition, use the potential face information to update the first face information, when the similarity matching does not achieve a predetermined condition and the potential face is the real face, the potential face is viewed as a second face information and added to the memory, and the first face information is set as been occluded. Finally, the number of people in front of the camera is counted according to the faces stored in the memory.
