  • Publication number: 20190107601
Abstract: A FMCW radar receiver includes a LO providing a chirped LO signal, an in-phase (I) channel for outputting I-data and a quadrature (Q) channel for outputting Q-data. A dynamic correction parameter generator generates IQ phase correction values (P[n]s) and IQ gain correction values (G[n]s) based on a frequency slope rate of the chirped LO signal for generating during intervals of chirps including a first sequence of P[n]s and G[n]s during a first chirp and a second sequence of P[n]s and G[n]s during a second chirp. An IQ mismatch (IQMM) correction circuit has a first IQMM input coupled to receive the I-data and a second IQMM input receiving the Q-data, and the P[n]s and G[n]s. During the first chirp the IQMM correction circuit provides first Q?-data and first I?-data and during the second chirp the IQMM correction circuit provides at least second Q?-data and second I?-data.

  • Patent number: 10176069
Abstract: The present system uses quorum based aggregator failure detection in which a failed aggregator is detected and configured. Rather than repair and roll-up of all metrics for a period of time associated with the failed aggregator, only the specific metrics that were to be processed by the failed aggregator are repaired. Once the failed aggregator is identified, the time range for the downed aggregator and keys processed by the aggregator are identified. Keys for replica aggregators associated with the identified time ranges and key values are then pulled, provided to a batch processor, and processed. At cluster roll-up task completion, a time rollup task for cluster rollup is then started.

  • Publication number: 20180227157
Abstract: The disclosure provides a circuit. The circuit includes an IFFT (inverse fast fourier transform) block. The IFFT block generates a modulated signal in response to a data signal. A clip logic block is coupled to the IFFT block, and generates a clipped signal in response to the modulated signal. A first subtractor is coupled to the clip logic block and the IFFT block, and subtracts the modulated signal from the clipped signal to generate an error signal. A cyclic filter is coupled to the first subtractor, and filters the error signal to generate a filtered error signal. A second subtractor is coupled to the cyclic filter and the IFFT block. The second subtractor subtracts the filtered error signal from the modulated signal to generate a processed signal.

  • Patent number: 10004087
Abstract: An apparatus may communicate with at least two networks. The apparatus may be configured to opportunistically decode a channel from a first network and a channel from a second network in order to receive data from both networks. The apparatus may determine whether first data carried on a paging channel (PCH) is decodable from a subset of slots that carry the PCH. The subset of slots may be included in a set of slots that carry the PCH. When the PCH collides with a physical multicast channel (PMCH), the apparatus may decode second data carried on the PMCH instead of the first data when the first data is determined to be decodable from the subset of slots that carry the PCH, and decode the first data instead of the second data when the first data is not determined to be decodable from the subset of slots that carry the PCH.

  • Publication number: 20180124784
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) are described. A UE may be operating in a downlink carrier (DL) carrier aggregation (CA) mode, which may include a first component carrier and a second carrier component of a set of component carriers. The UE may determine the second component carrier satisfies throughput requirements associated with an uplink (UL) data transmission. The UE may determine, a transmission current consumption relationship between the first component carrier and the second component carrier. The UE may determine, based on the transmission current consumption relationship, whether to switch the anchor carrier from the first component carrier to the second component carrier. When the UE determined to switch the anchor carrier, the UE may modify a measurement report to satisfy a condition for switching the anchor carrier from the first component carrier to the second component carrier.

  • Publication number: 20180121269
Abstract: A method for distributed processing involves receiving a graph (G) of targets and of influencers, with each influencer related to at least one target, receiving an action graph of actions performed by one or more of the influencers, and key partitioning G across shards. The method further involves transposing the first graph (G) to obtain a first transposed graph (GT), valuing partitioning GT across the shards, storing the action graph on multiple shards, issuing, to a shard, a request specifying an influencer, to perform an intersection, receiving a response to the request of a set of influencers each of which is related to a target, and determining whether to send a recommendation to the target based on the response.

  • Publication number: 20180098258
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. To avoid radio link failure (RLF) events for user equipment (UEs) in areas determined to have less reliable cellular communications coverage, a UE may adjust transmission of and timing for certain types of wireless communication messages, including those with measurement reports. For example, based on measurements made by a UE, the UE may modify thresholds for mobility procedure-triggering events, which may cause an inter-radio access technology (RAT) handover event to occur earlier than normal. A UE may, for example, receive and measure signals, and it may determine that a Long Term Evolution (LTE) serving cell or an LTE coverage area offers unreliable coverage. The UE may modify its operations to cause an early trigger of an inter-RAT handover event. The UE may switch to a network operating according to a different RAT before experiencing an RLF on the LTE network.

  • Publication number: 20180063765
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A mobile device may receive a measurement configuration relating to signal measurements (e.g., neighboring cells, carriers, frequencies, etc.) which are performed by the mobile device in support of mobility and other behaviors. The mobile device may prioritize the signal measurements based on historic or crowd-sourced information. When a measurement procedure is unsuccessful, the mobile device may exclude a corresponding object from its measurement configuration in order to increase the likelihood of performing successful measurements involving other such objects. Objects from the measurement configuration may be excluded temporarily or permanently. Measurement objects may be prioritized based on past successful measurements, a location of the wireless device, and/or depending on whether they were previously excluded. The mobile device may report successful measurements to the base station.

  • Publication number: 20180043584
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process to reduce internal stresses in insulation molded onto complex pipes, preferably complex subsea pipe, to reduce cracking in the molded insulation. Insulation materials applies to complex pipes comprising branches, i.e., valves, and the like, may be susceptible to cracking at, or near where the branch connects to the pipe as the coating of insulation material cures or hardens. The process of the present invention aims to reduce post molded cracking by reducing molded in stress at the branch/pipe junction. This is accomplished by providing a preform at or near a branch/pipe junction prior to applying the coating of insulation material.
