    Abstract: A direct-light type backlight module and a liquid crystal display (LCD) are proposed. The direct-light type backlight module includes a base frame, a light source, a diffuser plate, and a plurality of support pins. The light source is disposed on the base frame. The diffuser plate is disposed on the light source. The plurality of support pins are disposed on the base frame and support the diffuser plate. At least one of the plurality of support pins is made of first transparent materials, or is made of is made of top and bottom connected second transparent materials and opaque materials. Through the abovementioned method, support pin shadow mura could be successfully prevented, and a backlight effect and a display effect could be effectively enhanced when light emitted by the light source shines on the at least one of the plurality of support pins.
