Abstract: An apparatus of dual-monitor portable computer and operational method thereof is a portable computer with another sub-monitor which is configured on the lid. The sub-monitor can display different menu for the user to determine which functionality shall execute. The apparatus includes at least CPU, north bridge chipset, south bridge chipset, system memory, a first display monitor, coupling to the north bridge chipset, and a secondary display monitor, the sub-monitor coupling to a keyboard controller and a programmable logic controller. The apparatus also includes BIOS and a or plurality of hotkeys, coupling to the keyboard controller, to assist the user's operation.

Abstract: A notebook computer having a temperature adjustment function for a microprocessor includes a clock generator, a thermal sensor, an I/O controller, a bus switch, and a voltage regulator. The thermal sensor and the I/O controller are connected between the microprocessor and the clock generator. The bus switch is connected between the microprocessor and the I/O controller and with the voltage regulator. When the surface temperature of the microprocessor exceeds a predetermined temperature, the system BIOS will immediately issue a command to the I/O controller to automatically lower the external clock and the power source voltage level of the microprocessor. Thereby, the power consumption of the microprocessor can be reduced to lower the surface temperature.

Abstract: A microprocessor and main board mounting arrangement, which includes a computer main board, at least one socket respectively mounted on the computer main board, at least one microprocessor adapter respectively mounted on the at least one socket, said at least one microprocessor adapter each holding a respective microprocessor, for example, a Desktop Celeron CPU, a Mobile Celeron or Mobile Pentium II CPU, for enabling the respective microprocessor to be electrically connected to the computer main board, each microprocessor adapter having a voltage converter for converting output power supply of the computer main board into the necessary working voltage for the microprocessor.
