  • Publication number: 20210296258
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present application are directed towards a semiconductor packaging device including a shield structure configured to block magnetic and/or electric fields from a first electronic component and a second electronic component. The first and second electronic components may, for example, be inductors or some other suitable electronic components. In some embodiments, a first IC chip overlies a second IC chip. The first IC chip includes a first substrate and a first interconnect structure overlying the first substrate. The second IC chip includes a second substrate and a second interconnect structure overlying the second substrate. The first and second electronic components are respectively in the first and second interconnect structures. The shield structure is directly between the first and second electronic components.

  • Publication number: 20210128680
Abstract: Provided herein are synthetic peptides and methods for treating cardiorespiratory diseases, particularly cardiopulmonary disorder (CPD) by use of the synthetic peptides. The present synthetic peptide has the amino acid sequence of X1EX2LRVANEVTLN (SEQ ID NO: 1), in which X1 is tyrosine (Y) or phenylalanine (F), and X2 is alanine (A) or cysteine (C). In preferred embodiments, an effective amount of the present synthetic peptide is administered to a subject suffering from CPD to ameliorate or alleviate symptoms associated therewith.

  • Publication number: 20200138458
Abstract: The present invention provides a catheter device. This novel catheter device comprises: a catheter, a catheter sheath, a guide wire, a tapered head, a helical structure, and a rotary member. When the catheter is inserted through a blood vessel and stopped by a plaque, it is able to operate the rotary member to rotate the catheter, such that a blockage region of the plaque for the catheter is formed with a through hole therein. Therefore, the guide wire can pass through the through hole of the blockage region, and then the front-end of the catheter can subsequently pass through the blockage region with the forward movement of the guide wire. Consequently, a balloon angioplasty or a stent implantation can easily be conducted in the blockage region of the artery.

  • Publication number: 20190299011
Abstract: A cardiac pacing device to be disposed in a heart between an atrium and an atrial appendage protruding from the atrium includes a blocker and a regulator attached to the blocker. The blocker is configured to occlude the atrial appendage. The regulator is configured to contact the heart when the blocker is positioned between the atrium and the atrial appendage to occlude the atrial appendage in order to regulate a cardiac rhythm of the heart accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20190119751
Abstract: A method for determining a human subject's risk of developing acute kidney injury (AKI) from acute myocardial infarction (AMI) includes: obtaining a blood sample; determining at least two miRNA expression levels therein, which are selected from miR-23a-3p, miR-24-3p, and miR-145-5p expression levels; calculating probability of developing AKI from AMI based on the at least two miRNA expression levels and a logistic regression model; comparing the probability with a predetermined standard; and determining that the human subject is at the risk of developing AKI when the probability is higher than the predetermined standard. A composition may be administered to the human subject for inhibiting development of AKI, if any.
