Abstract: A strip type device performs an immunochromatographic test and is used for diagnosis. The diagnostic test device determines the presence of an analyte in a sample, including a strip of material suitable for capillary migration of a liquid sample. The strip has a support on which are arranged and sequentially define different operative areas of the device according to a direction of capillary migration: a support portion for depositing the sample; a labeling portion including a first labeled reagent, recognizing the analyte to be determined or competing with the analyte; a chromatographic membrane on which are arranged in sequence and at a predetermined distance: a test line, on which a first capture reagent specific for the analyte and a second capture reagent specific for a second labeled reagent are immobilized; a control line on which a third capture reagent specific for the first labeled reagent is immobilized.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a diagnostic method for the determination of Helicobacter pylori in a tissue biopsy comprising the step of incubating a tissue biopsy with an aqueous diagnostic reagent comprising urea and a pH indicator, and determining any pH change, characterized in that said diagnostic reagent comprises a lactone, and that the ratio between the volume of the reagent and the volume of the sample is variable and less than 30.

Abstract: A system and a method of the interaction and preservation of two or more reagents used in a chemical reaction is described, in which the reagents are put in contact one with another only when a buffer (A) carrying a sample to be treated with said reagents breaks a partition barrier (4, 14) placed between two containers belonging to a device comprising a first upper container (2, 12) and a second lower container (3, 13) of a test tube (1), the bottom wall of the first container (2, 12) forming said partition barrier (4, 14) able to be perforated by the buffer (A) carrying the sample to be treated.
