  • Patent number: 8104985
Abstract: An applicator dispenser has a container defining a tank with a lateral wall and a neck integral with a wiper. An applicator includes a cap having an outer shell and a threaded insert, and an axial wand fixedly attached to the insert and to an application means. The lateral wall of the tank forms at its upper part a straight skirt. The container has a closure component having an upper part forming the neck, a peripheral part engaging in a sealed way with the straight skirt, and a lower part engaging with the wiper forming a forward axial stop for the wiper. The wiper has a central part forming a swaged wiping part and a lateral part engaging with the lower part of the closure component.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: January 31, 2012
    Assignee: Benson S.R.L.
    Inventors: Davide Manici, Paolo Giusti

  • Patent number: 5644049
Abstract: Provided is a biomaterial comprising an interpenetrating polymer network (IPN), wherein one of the polymer components is an acidic polysaccharide or a semi-synthetic derivative thereof. The polysaccharide can be hyaluronic acid, and the second polymer component can be a non-toxic, non-carcinogenic synthetic chemical polymer. The derivative can be a total or partial hyaluronic acid ester or a hyaluronic acid salt. The ester or salt can be formed with a pharmacologically active molecule. Methods for preparing the IPN are also disclosed. The acidic polysaccharide or derivative thereof and the synthetic chemical polymer comprising the IPN can be cross-linked, or the synthetic chemical polymer can be grafted onto the acidic polysaccharide. The cross-linking or grafting can be achieved using compounds capable of generating radicals, or via functional groups on the acidic polysaccharide and the synthetic chemical polymer. The IPN can be formed prior to cross-linking or grafting.

  • Patent number: 4347340
Abstract: A process is disclosed for producing thermoelastomeric 3-block copolymers of the ABA (or ABC) type, the end blocks being a plastomeric nature and the intermediate block of an elastomeric nature, by cationic polymerization employing a composite catalytic system comprised of Aluminium alkyl, possibly with a halogen substituent, and of a halogen or a halogen-substituted hydrocarbon radical.

  • Patent number: 4262095
Abstract: Three-block copolymers of the ABA and ABC type are disclosed in which A and C are plastomeric monomers and B is an elastomeric polymer are disclosed, which are prepared by first polymerizing the block A in such a way to keep alive the active centers in the chain ends for a time sufficient to permit the addition of the second monomer B, whereafter, with the aid of a special catalytic system, the growth of the third block C, can be carried out. A and C are mutually interchangeable. The catalyst for polymerizing the block A is a Lewis' acid aided by isobutene and the catalyst for introducing and copolymerizing C (or A) is a chloride of aluminium alkyl.
