  • Patent number: 10107747
Abstract: The invention refers to a method for analyzing reflected light of an object. First a light angle distribution for a point of the object is determined. Then a plenoptic projector is controlled to illuminate the point of the object with the determined light angle distribution. Then the reflected light intensity of the point of the object is measured and the measured reflected light is analyzed in dependence of the determined light angle distribution.

Assignee: Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL)
Inventors: Loic A. Baboulaz, Martin Vetterli, Paolo Prandoni
  • Publication number: 20170345044
Abstract: A process for rewarding the audience of a signage device, the process providing for detecting an interest-based interaction of a person with the signage device; acquiring at least one information about the person; selecting a reward to attribute to the person according to the information; dispensing the reward to the person.

  • Publication number: 20170228747
Abstract: Process for monitoring the audience in a targeted region, the process providing for capturing at least one image of at least one person located in the targeted region, analyzing the image for determining at least one information about the person, registering the determined information in an audience database, and the process further providing for identifying the eventual presence of an exclusion tag related to the person, so as to provide an exclusion mark for the monitoring of the person in the case of such a presence.

  • Patent number: 7042493
Abstract: Standard video footage even from a single video camera can be used to obtain, in an automated fashion, a stroboscope sequence of a sports event, for example. The sequence may be represented as a static images of a photographic nature, or by a video sequence in which camera motion remains present, in which case the video sequence can be rendered as a panning camera movement on a stroboscope picture or as an animated stroboscope sequence in which the moving object leaves a trailing trace of copies along its path. Multiple cameras can be used for an expanded field of view or for comparison of multiple sequences, for example.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 9, 2006
