  • Patent number: 11728588
Abstract: An electrical connector is adapted to be retained in a non-conducting housing and electrically connecting a first component to a second component spaced from one another. The connector includes a first end having a first contact portion for electrically communicating with the first component. A second end of the connector has a second contact portion for electrically communicating with the second component. The second end has a cantilevered beam adapted to flex at a knee portion to bias the second contact portion against an electrical contact surface of the second component. An attachment portion is disposed between the first and second ends. The attachment portion includes an engagement portion providing an interference fit with a mating groove of the housing in which the connector is retained.

  • Patent number: 6985060
Abstract: A control unit having a circuit substrate mounted within a housing that is adapted to be mounted upon a hydraulic valve body with a coil spacer mounted upon said substrate. The coil spacer including at least one coil support ring having resilient member extending in a radial direction from the edge of the ring into the center of the ring. The control unit also including a solenoid coil and flux casing assembly mounted upon the coil spacer ring with the solenoid coil and flux casing assembly flexing the resilient member such that the resilient member urges flux casing away from the coil spacer.

  • Patent number: 6633216
Abstract: A coil assembly comprises a coil wound upon a bobbin. A pair of terminals is supported by the bobbin. The coil has a pair of lead wires, each of which is connected to one of the terminals. Each terminal is adapted to be coupled to an electronic control unit. The coil is enclosed at least in part by a flux return casing. At least one resilient member is arranged and configured to urge the bobbin and the casing axially downward.

  • Patent number: 6256572
Abstract: At least one surface contact is formed upon a circuit substrate disposed within a housing for electronic control unit for an anti-lock brake system. The surface contact is electrically connected to a programming port of a microprocessor mounted upon the circuit substrate. A probe is extended into housing and into electrical contact with the surface contact. A algorithm for controlling the operation of the anti-lock brake system is then transferred through the probe and into the microprocessor, where it is stored for use during anti-lock braking operations.

  • Patent number: 6241489
Abstract: An internal electrical connector includes at least one electrical conductor overmolded by a body formed from an electrically non-conducting material. The connector is received by a bore extending through a valve body for an anti-lock brake system hydraulic control unit. An electronic control unit mounted upon a first surface of the valve body is electrically connected to one end of the connector while the other end of the connector is electrically connected to a pump motor mounted upon a valve body surface opposite from the electronic control unit. The connector is free to move both transversely and axially within the valve body bore to compensate for component tolerance stack up.
