  • Patent number: 10195335
Abstract: A chamber is provided for a blood treatment system and has at least one space defined by a chamber wall, at least one blood inlet, and at least one inlet for a further fluid, which are connected with the space. Both the at least one blood inlet and the at least one inlet for the further fluid are formed on tube sections that protrude into the space of the chamber. In the operating condition of the chamber the space of the chamber is at least partly filled with blood or with a mixture of blood and either the further fluid or some other fluid. At least one, or preferably both, of the tube sections have a length such that the blood inlet and/or the inlet for the further fluid are located below the blood or fluid level in the chamber.

  • Patent number: 9931455
Abstract: The present invention relates to a chamber for a blood treatment system with at least one space defined by a chamber wall and with at least one blood inlet and with at least one inlet for a further fluid, which are connected with the space, wherein both the at least one blood inlet and the at least one inlet for the further fluid are formed on tube sections which protrude into the space of the chamber, wherein in the operating condition of the chamber the space of the chamber is at least partly filled with blood or with a mixture of blood and the further fluid or some other fluid and wherein at least one, preferably both or a plurality of the tube sections have a length such that the blood inlet and/or the inlet for the further fluid are located below the blood or fluid level in the chamber.

  • Patent number: 8404116
Abstract: A transducer protector for use in an extra-corporeal circuit includes a first half-shell, a second half-shell, and a hydrophobic semi-permeable membrane enclosed between the half-shells. The first half-shell includes a first tubular connector with a seat having a substantially cylindrical shape and defining an axis X. The second half-shell includes a second tubular connection configured for connection to a transducer. The seat receives an end of a branch pipe from the circuit. The end defines a front surface substantially in the form of an annulus that is insertable inside the seat, which has one or more abutments that form a support for the front surface of the end to define a stop for the end. The abutment defines at least one radially outer cavity and provides a partial support for the front surface of the end. The cavity provides at least one radially outer zone of the annulus without support.

  • Patent number: 8287730
Abstract: The present invention relates to a safety insert or transducer protector 10, suitable for an extra-corporeal circuit 8. The transducer protector 10 comprises a first shell 11 comprising a first hydrophobic semi-permeable membrane 13 and a first tubular connector 15 adapted to be connected to a branch pipe 17 from the extra-corporeal circuit 8; a second shell 12, at least partially translucent, comprising a second hydrophobic semi-permeable membrane 14 and a second tubular connector 16 adapted to be connected to a transducer 18. The transversal area of said second shell 12 is larger than the transversal area of said first shell 11.
