  • Patent number: 10617424
Abstract: A removable implantable medical device (1) for the endovascular treatment of aneurysm, particularly of aneurysm of the thoracic aorta, comprising a supporting structure (2) tubular in shape and covered externally by a covering (3). The supporting structure (2) and the covering (3) define a duct (4) for blood circulation. The device is provided with extraction means (5) for extracting the duct (4) from the body of the subject in whom it is inserted. The extraction means (5) are associated with the duct (4) and communicate with the outside of the body.

The supporting structure and the covering define a duct for blood circulation. The device is provided with extraction elements for extracting the duct from the body of the subject in whom it is inserted. The extraction means are associated with the duct and communicate with the outside of the body.

  • Publication number: 20110054322
Abstract: In a method of detecting microemboli in a patient, an echography probe is applied to a selected location of the patient. An ultrasonic signal is sensed with the echocardiography probe. The ultrasonic signal is processed with a processor to determine a systemic embolic load in the selected location. A representation of a systemic embolic load indicated by the ultrasonic signal is presented to a user.

  • Publication number: 20100240971
Abstract: A device for monitoring brain parameters in a patient includes at least one central nervous system function sensor, at least one brain oxygen sensor, at least one blood flow velocity sensor, a video monitor and a computational circuit. The nervous system function sensor is configured to sense a nervous system function of the patient. The brain oxygen sensor is configured to sense a brain oxygen concentration of the patient. The brain blood flow velocity sensor is configured to sense the blood flow velocity of the patient. The computational circuit is in data communication with the nervous system function sensor and the brain oxygen sensor. The computational circuit is configured to generate a graphic representation, for display on the video monitor, of the nervous system function of the patient and the brain oxygen concentration of the patient.
