The device comprises at least one inductor coil provided with at least one elongated sealing surface for cooperation with the packaging material during sealing. The sealing surface comprises a protruding ridge extending along a longitudinal extension of the sealing surface for cooperation with the packaging material and for increasing the sealing pressure on the packaging material during sealing.
