  • Patent number: 9554229
Abstract: One or more devices may receive, from a media presentation device worn by a user, sensory data comprising at least information describing orientation of the media presentation device. The one or more devices may also determine an approximate direction of a gaze of the user in a three dimensional audio space based on the information describing the orientation of the media presentation device, identify a sound source at which the user gazes based on the approximate direction of the gaze of the user in the three dimensional audio space, obtain audio data associated with the sound source based on an identity of the identified sound source, determine an action to perform on the audio data associated with the sound source, and perform the determined action.

  • Publication number: 20140022372
Abstract: A method and system are provided for monitoring an object. The method comprises: utilizing a first sensor system comprising at least one sensor disposed in a monitored space to store first data on the monitored space, utilizing a second sensor system to store second data on an object of interest to be monitored; analyzing first data produced by the first sensor system with a signal processing equipment by searching from the stored first data at least one object to be monitored and by comparing parameters describing characteristics of the at least one detected object with stored reference parameters corresponding to reference characteristics and list of interested objects based on the information received from the second sensor system; and generating, on the basis of an event detected in the analysis, information relating to the state of the object.

  • Publication number: 20120317594
Abstract: A method and system for enhancing audio for a viewer watching digital video with sound, such as a movie or video game. The method and system determine where in the scene (40) the viewer's attention is focused, correlate the viewer's focal region with one of a plurality of regions (42a-d) of the video scene (40), preferably associated with a depth map, and enhance the sound corresponding to the focal region of the scene (40) as compared to the sound corresponding to the non-focal regions of the scene (40).

  • Publication number: 20110113362
Abstract: A mobile communication apparatus having a reduced user interface is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a touch sensitive input arranged to receive touch actions on a primary surface of the mobile communication apparatus, wherein interpretation of touch actions as input is independent on position of touch on the primary surface while being depending on the way of the touch action, and an output arranged to provide an audio feedback of a user interface status from the interpreted input of the touch actions.

  • Publication number: 20090197534
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for setting up a radio transmission between a first and a second mobile communication device comprising the steps of, enabling the first device for radio transmission and sound reception, enabling the second device for sound transmission and reception of a radio transmission, initiating a radio transmission in the first device, where the radio transmission uses a radio broadcast technology to transmit a setup sound on a start frequency, receiving in the second devices, using the same radio broadcast technology, the radio transmission from the first device containing the setup sound, initiating a sound transmission of the received setup sound, in the second device, using a loudspeaker, and receiving, in the first device, by increasing/decreasing the start frequency, using a microphone the transmitted setup sound from the second device.
