  • Publication number: 20240168095
Abstract: A method of monitoring a device battery for predictively detecting a fault in the device battery in a technical device includes providing a historical temporal operating variable curve of several operating variables of a specific device battery, and providing a predicted temporal operating variable curve dependent on a usage pattern model, which is dependent on a usage behavior characterizing a type of use of the device battery. The method further includes determining a time series of input variable vectors each with elements which comprise one or more operating variables and/or one or more variables derived therefrom for a time step. A time series includes time steps from the historical and predicted operating variable curves. The method further includes evaluating a data-based anomaly prediction model comprising a data-based time series transformer model and a data-based prediction model.

  • Publication number: 20230305073
Abstract: A method for predicting an aging state of a device battery with at least one electrochemical unit includes providing a temporal operating variable profile of an operating variable of a device battery, determining successive cycles from the temporal operating variable profile, respectively assigning the determined cycles to predetermined cycle profiles so that a sequence of cycle profiles is obtained, determining a frequency distribution of transitions in the obtained sequence of cycle profiles in the form of a hidden Markov model, creating a predicted sequence of cycle profiles by successively, randomly selecting cycle profiles according to the frequency distribution of the transitions, assigning profile operating variable profiles assigned to the cycle profiles to the predicted sequence of cycle profiles to obtain a predicted operating variable profile, and determining a predicted aging state or a predicted aging state profile based on the predicted operating variable profile using a predetermined aging stat

  • Publication number: 20230280406
Abstract: A method for monitoring a device battery for the presence of an anomaly in the battery operation. In some examples, the method includes providing temporal operational variable profiles of operational variables for the device battery; determining an input dataset of operational characteristics for a historical evaluation period as a function of the temporal operational variable profiles; and using an anomaly detection model with an encoder/decoder model to determine a reconstruction error for the input dataset. The encoder/decoder model is trained with input datasets of device batteries of normal function to map an input dataset onto an input dataset that is reconstructed as identically as possible. When a reconstruction error is found, a rule-based criticality value is determined as a function of one or more characteristic-based criticality values. An error type is also signaled.

  • Patent number: 7769687
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for facilitating commercial transactions involving the exchange of monetary value for goods, services, or other value between remote individuals, as in the case of transactions between users of a distributed computer network such as the Internet. Remote individuals are provided with a convenient, cost-efficient, and secure means for engaging in commercial transactions with one another. The invention provides remote sellers with an irrevocable means of receiving funds from a remote purchaser; means for improving purchaser willingness to transact with an unknown party; transaction tracking; and rapid funds availability.

  • Patent number: 6324587
Abstract: A method and computer program product instituting an entirely client-based system for sharing messages and other data objects is provided. Communication between clients occurs over a generic store and forward transport such as the Internet message protocol described in RFC 822 and implemented on the Internet or other wide area network. A message or other data object is originally maintained by a “publication” client that publishes the data object and any modifications thereto to one or more “subscription” clients that will each maintain a copy thereof. As modifications are made by a client (either publication or subscription) to the client copy of the data object, the modified data object is sent, using the store and forward transport, to the publication client to update the data object.
