  • Patent number: 12220486
Abstract: The present invention relates to the discovery of novel PLGA particles comprising a polypeptide adsorbed on the surface of the PLGA particles. In certain embodiments, the PLGA particles can be used to administer the polypeptide to a patient in need thereof. As compared to polypeptide-delivery formulations known in the art, the present invention demonstrates a higher relative polypeptide loading capacity. In certain embodiments, the polypeptide adsorbed on the surface of the PLGA nanoparticles does not denature or deform upon adsorption.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 2, 2019
Date of Patent: February 11, 2025
    Assignee: Saint Joseph's University
    Inventors: Vaishnavi Parikh, Pardeep Gupta

  • Patent number: 10233231
Abstract: This invention provides an improved process for manufacturing a Rabies monoclonal antibody (HuMab 17C7) that results in low osmolality, minimum secondary metabolites like ammonia and lactate, enhanced cell growth and productivity, minimum aggregation or degradation of monoclonal antibody during purification, thereby improving potency of monoclonal antibody (HuMab 17C7) as compared to human rabies immunoglobulin (hRIG).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 6, 2016
Date of Patent: March 19, 2019
Assignee: Serum Institute of India Private Limited
