    Abstract: The ownership verification and reassignment tracking solution of the present disclosure can be used to identify if a telephone number belongs to a stated customer of a business and identify any change in the telephone status on a periodic basis to ensure continued ownership of the telephone number with the stated customer. Real-time telephone number ownership and disconnection and port history can be used. This data can be accessed directly from the telephony carriers. Ownership and porting data from publicly available data sources can also be used, in some embodiments, to provide complex and comprehensive ownership verification and ownership reassignment tracking for a telephone number.
