  • Publication number: 20160321276
Abstract: Data to be moved from a source system to a target system, for a set of tenants, is first identified. The data is enumerated by a first computing instance in the source system to obtain an enumeration list. Data is copied from the source system to the target system based on the enumeration list by a second computing instance. The data in the source and target systems is then enumerated by a third computing instance to determine whether any data is still to be moved and another enumeration list is generated. The data still to be moved is then moved based on the other enumeration list.

  • Publication number: 20160323250
Abstract: A system for remotely storing data includes a communication component that is configured to receive a data file to be stored on a remote data storage system. An encryption system is configured to obtain at least one key and encrypt the data file with the at least one key. A processor is configured to generate a request to a master key storage system through the communication component to operatively encrypt the at least one key using a master key stored in the master key storage system. The communication component is configured to transmit the encrypted data file to at least one remote storage location. The processor is configured to receive the encrypted key(s) from the master key storage system and store the encrypted key(s) in a data store.

  • Patent number: 7987159
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products detect and manage changes in business data integration (BDI) solutions. BDI solutions include extracting, mapping, or loading source information from disparate sources as targets presented to business applications that consume targets. A method involves detecting changes in a BDI solution, classifying each of the changes based on change severity, analyzing what objects would be impacted by the changes, determining whether the objects impacted by the changes can be change handled without user intervention, and change handling without user intervention all the objects impacted by changes that are not severe. Still further, the method involves committing changes to a metadata repository and creating a deployable checkpoint of the metadata repository where the deployable checkpoint is consistent for all the changes handled in the BDI solution.

  • Patent number: 7509327
Abstract: Metadata driven business data migration is provided. An extensible business data destination system is provided having metadata that describes its structure. An intermediate database is structurally synchronized to the extensible destination system prior to receiving source data. Once the structural synchronization between the destination system and the intermediate database has been completed, the intermediate database is populated with source data. Customizable migration overhead information is stored and used to allow highly configurable specification of data migration. Once migration information has been specified, and any required manipulations have been completed with respect to the source data in the intermediate database, a migration tool generates business data in the destination system to complete the migration.

  • Publication number: 20080222189
Abstract: A source multidimensional data model is associated with a target multidimensional data model, for purposes of, for example, copying or linking data between the source and the target. Individual dimensions are mapped from the source to the target. Within each mapped dimension, individual dimension members are mapped from the source to the target. The resulting association may be stored and utilized to generate executable statements for copying or linking data between the source and the target.
