    Abstract: A method and apparatus are described for controlling the application of Selected Internet Protocol (IP) traffic offload (SIPTO) or Local IP Access (LIPA) services for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). The SIPTO and LIPA services may be performed over packet data network (PDN) connections. A user of the WTRU may be prompted to accept or reject the usage of the SIPTO or LIPA services. The user of the WTRU may request switching from SIPTO or LIPA services to non-SIPTO or non-LIPA services.
