  • Publication number: 20080245877
Abstract: The invention concerns an electronic data storage medium including a body (30) made from insulated plastic material which has two main parallel sides, a semiconductor component (34) and a number of external electrical contact pads flush with the first main side (30a) of the body. The body (30) includes a recess (32) opening out onto the first main side (30a). The storage medium also includes a number of conducting elements (28), each with a first end (a) flush with the first main side to form an external contact pad, a second end (b) arranged in the said recess and an intermediate part (c) buried in the body; and A number of connecting elements (38) to electrically connect the terminals of the semiconductor component to the second ends of the conducting elements.

  • Patent number: 6301119
Abstract: An integrated circuit card with two connection modes. The integrated circuit card includes a card body in which there is embedded a link circuit for linking a contactless coupling element (1) to a module having an integrated circuit (6) connected to conductive areas carried by a support film (4). The link circuit extends in register with conductive areas (18) dedicated to making a contactless link and is connected to said conductive areas by an electrically conductive material (32, 36, 42) filling blind holes (31, 35, 41). The blind holes have sections that increase from a bottom of each hole towards an opening thereof over at least a portion of their height.

  • Patent number: 6202931
Abstract: The invention relates to a memory card of the type comprising a card body (1) having an integrated circuit (2) embedded in one face thereof, with said face carrying a conductor pattern (3) made up of a plurality of conductive areas (4) and of associated conductive tracks (5). According to the invention, a reinforcing element (10) implemented in the form of a closed ring is disposed in the thickness of the card body (1), in register with the zone occupied by the integrated circuit (2) so as to stiffen locally the zone of the card which carries the integrated circuit.
