  • Publication number: 20220196103
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a damping system for counteracting oscillations in a construction. The damping system comprises a pendulum device and a container which contains a viscous medium. The pendulum device comprises a mass which comprises a porous structure. The porous structure is configured to allow the viscous medium to pass through it. The porous structure is at least partially submerged in the viscous medium.

  • Patent number: 10978088
Abstract: A method of processing a signal includes taking a signal recorded by a plurality of signal recorders, applying at least one super-resolution technique to the signal to produce an oscillator peak representation of the signal comprising a plurality of frequency components for a plurality of oscillator peaks, computing at least one Cross Channel Complex Spectral Phase Evolution (XCSPE) attribute for the signal to produce a measure of a spatial evolution of the plurality of oscillator peaks between the signal, identifying a known predicted XCSPE curve (PXC) trace corresponding to the frequency components and at least one XCSPE attribute of the plurality of oscillator peaks and utilizing the identified PXC trace to determine a spatial attribute corresponding to an origin of the signal.

  • Publication number: 20170188150
Abstract: A speaker system includes a speaker driver configured to cause speaker cone displacement based on a driver voltage input. A controller is configured to generate the driver voltage input to the speaker driver. The controller includes: a feedforward control path configured to generate a nominal voltage input based on a nonlinear model of electroacoustic dynamics of the speaker driver and an input audio signal.

  • Patent number: 5261202
Abstract: A display screen assembly comprises a glass plate having first and second sides and first and second flexible gaskets. The first gasket is adapted to be disposed along an outer periphery of the first side of the glass plate. The second gasket is adapted to be disposed along an outer periphery of the second side of the glass plate. First and second support elements are provided. Each of the support elements has at least a portion thereof adapted to abut against the first and second gaskets respectively. A rigid block of adjustable thickness is adapted to be positioned between the first and second support elements. A clamping means clamps the first and second support elements together so as to compress the rigid block therebetween and to compress the gaskets against the glass plate. The block of adjustable thickness is operable to determine the extent to which the gaskets are compressed.
