  • Publication number: 20170341676
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for automotive vehicle including a steering wheel, an instrument cluster, the steering wheel including sensors which are arranged on the rim and configured to detect the presence of fingers (5) of a hand (4) of the driver in contact with the rim (25), situated one after the other in the circumferential direction, the method including the following steps: a) defining first and second zones of activation on the rim of the steering wheel, b) defining first and second interaction entities in the digital display zone, which are situated in positional correspondence with the activation zones, c) detecting a movement of fingers including at least one closing or gripping of a hand on an activation zone, d) undertaking an action in conjunction with the first interaction entity.

  • Publication number: 20150338650
Abstract: A display device (1), associated with an instrument set (4), includes a low-definition display (3) and a semi-transparent mirror (2) disposed on an instrument panel, opposite the low-definition display. The device is remarkable in that the semi-transparent mirror is positioned at an angle of more than 45° relative to the low-definition display. An angle of more than 45°, instead of the angle of 45° generally used, reduces the space occupied by the semi-transparent mirror in the direction of the driver's vision. Positioning the semi-transparent mirror at an angle of more than 45° relative to the low-definition display produces a reverse image where the top of the image intended to represent the horizon is nearer than the low portion that is supposed to be nearer. An instrument set (4) incorporating the display device is also described.

  • Patent number: 8550529
Abstract: A vehicle equipment designed to detachably hold an electronic appliance provided with a screen and manually activatable function keys. This equipment has a cavity (11) designed to hold the appliance and which for that purpose is open at the front. The cavity contains thrust elements (17, 19) in order to wedge the electronic appliance therein, and a cable guide shoe (160), urged by at least some of the thrust elements. This shoe has a passage, or a marked-out passage ready to be cut out (161) through which a lead and its connector (23, 23a) for connecting to the electronic appliance can pass.

  • Patent number: 8544927
Abstract: Assembly including a vehicle equipment designed to detachably hold an electrically powered electronic appliance (3) provided with a display screen (5) and manually activatable function keys (7), is characterized in that the equipment has a cavity (11) in which the appliance (3) is held and which for that purpose is open at the front where the cavity (11) is bordered by a part (13a) made of soft material connected to a plate (15) mounted so that it can rotate about an axis (15a) that is transverse to the back of the cavity (11), the appliance (3) being pressed up behind and/or against this part made of soft material (13a) under the effect of first and second thrusting elements.
