  • Patent number: 10700407
Abstract: The invention concerns an acquisition aid antenna device (3), intended to be secured to a main antenna device, the acquisition aid antenna device (3) comprising: —a multiband acquisition aid antenna feed (7), suitable for receiving radiation emitted by a target, and—a lens (9) arranged in the main reception lobe of the acquisition aid antenna feed (7) for concentrating the radiation received from the target towards the acquisition aid antenna feed (7). This device makes it possible to detect targets that are outside the useful beam of the main antenna device, and to use an acquisition aid antenna feed identical to the feed of the main antenna device.

  • Patent number: 9786988
Abstract: The invention relates to a source for a reflector antenna, comprising: a pseudo-cavity, a first sigma excitation device for exciting the pseudo-cavity in such a way as to generate a sum channel signal via a coaxial waveguide, a second excitation device for exciting the pseudo-cavity in such a way as to generate a difference channel signal, the second device comprising eight probes angularly distributed around a principal emission axis of the source, and a difference supply circuit for supplying the eight excitation probes according to the two modes TE21.

  • Patent number: 6211842
Abstract: An antenna receives beams from telecommunication satellites in geostationary orbit close to the equator. The continuous concave reflecting surface of the reflector of the antenna has an equation deduced from a paraboloid by adding thereto the equation of a correction surface comprising a second order polynomial and a sum of N(2N−1) terms depending on distances between the projection of any point on the reflecting surface and N(2N−1) control points of a grid extending over a plane perpendicular to the plane of symmetry. The angular separation of the primary sources on a circular support with an inclination different from the angle of offset is less than approximately 3° for an aperture of more than 50°.
