  • Patent number: 11171342
Abstract: The invention relates to a system able to operate reversibly as an SOFC fuel-cell stack or as an SOEC electrolyser. According to the invention, a bypass line or circuit is provided in order to divert if needs be some of the hot gases issued from the chambers referred to as oxygen chambers (anodic chambers in SOEC mode, cathodic chambers in SOFC-stack mode) as this will cool the heat exchanger provided in the circuit through which the oxygen flows.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 2017
Date of Patent: November 9, 2021
Assignee: COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES
Inventors: Andre Chatroux, Stephane Di Iorio, Thomas Donnier-Marechal, Pascal Giroud, Michel Planque, Magali Reytier, Guilhem Roux
  • Patent number: 10892511
Abstract: A system for clamping a high-temperature SOEC/SOFC stack, including: an upper clamping plate and a lower clamping plate between which the stack can be clamped, each plate including at least one clamping orifice; at least one clamping rod configured to extend through clamping orifices in the upper and lower clamping plates to allow them to be assembled; a clamping mechanism level with each clamping orifice, configured to interact with the at least one clamping rod; and at least one electrically insulating plate configured to be located between the stack and at least one of the upper and lower clamping plates.

  • Patent number: 10737194
Abstract: A liquid-to-vapor conversion device includes a chamber having an opening connected to a liquid intake, a pressure relief opening, and a vapor outlet. The device also includes a flow controller arranged at the level of the liquid intake, and a burst disk installed at the level of the pressure relief opening. Further, the device includes pressure-limiting means arranged at the level of the liquid intake. The pressure-limiting means is configured to decrease the flow rate in the liquid intake when the pressure in the liquid intake exceeds a threshold value smaller than a bursting pressure of the burst disk.
