  • Publication number: 20240174370
Abstract: A propulsion system fastened to one side of an aircraft and having a longitudinal axis and a mid-plane and having a nacelle with two inner cowls, two outer cowls, two lower structural elements and two upper structural elements, wherein each outer cowl is articulated on a pylon by hinges with axes parallel to the longitudinal axis. The two outer cowls are contiguous at a separation plane containing the longitudinal axis and making, with the mid-plane, an acute angle. The axes are asymmetrical with respect to the mid-plane.

  • Patent number: 11359542
Abstract: An engine including a motor and a nacelle and a duct between the nacelle and the motor. The nacelle includes a fixed structure, a mobile assembly that is mobile between an advanced position and a retracted position to define a window between the duct and the outside, and a plurality of blades that are mobile in rotation between a stowed position and a deployed position, each one extending on either side of its axis of rotation with a first arm and a second arm. In the stowed position, the first arm is outside the duct and the second arm is inside the nacelle, and where, in the deployed position, the first arm is across the duct and the second arm projects out of the nacelle. With such blades, the flow of air is optimally directed towards the front without it being necessary to provide cascades.

  • Patent number: 11255293
Abstract: A turbofan with a secondary duct and including a fixed structure and a mobile assembly including a frame with openwork regions. The mobile assembly is translatable between advanced and extended positions. The openwork regions are positioned across the window in the extended position. A plurality of blocking doors is provided, each being mobile between stowed and deployed positions. An array of rams move the mobile assembly. A cascade grille mounts on the frame across the openwork region. The grille slides on the frame parallel to the translational direction. For each grille, a rear stop limits rearward movement, and a compression spring pushes the grille to the rear for abutment against a rear stop. For each grille, the fixed structure comprises a stop element against which the grille abuts upon movement from the advanced position to the extended position.

  • Patent number: 11187189
Abstract: A propulsion system includes a bypass turbine engine and a pylon. The turbine engine includes an engine, two internal cowls, two outer cowls, a first lock for locking the internal cowls to the engine, cascades of vanes fixed to the outer cowl via hooping, wherein the outer cowls are movable in translation with respect to the engine, in which each outer cowl is able to slide parallel to a direction of translation on an internal cowl via a top guideway connection and a bottom guideway connection, and in which each outer cowl is mounted with the ability to slide parallel to the direction of translation on the pylon via an upper guideway connection. The propulsion system makes it possible during maintenance operations to move the outer cowl and the internal fixed structure towards the rear and therefore away from the front cowls to get at the engine.

  • Patent number: 11072433
Abstract: A locking system for locking a cowl to a fixed structure including first and second parts, the first part including a first hook moveable on the cowl and a first shaft fixed to the fixed structure in which the first hook is moveable between locked and unlocked positions, in which the second part includes a handle actuateable between closed and open positions, a second hook and a second shaft fixed to the fixed structure or to another cowl symmetric with the cowl, in which the second hook is moveable between locked and unlocked positions and in which the second hook is mounted where passage of the handle from the closed to open positions causes the second hook to pass from the locked into the unlocked position and vice versa, and in which the locking system also includes a transmission system to move the first hook from the locked into the unlocked position when the handle passes from the closed into the open position, and vice versa.
