  • Publication number: 20120209717
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention enable targeted mobile payload (such as advertisement) delivery to mobile users, optimized for user experience, wireless access network characteristics and performance and advertising/marketing impact. Embodiments leverage subscriber situational insights, provided either by the wireless network or external providers, to associate with a request for advertisement (taking place while end user accesses content) a segment description and/or attributes that describe the end user. Accordingly, the advertisement industry standard (or advertiser, content-provider defined) audience to which the end user belongs can be determined in real-time, and a targeted advertisement can be delivered to the mobile end user. As such, content publisher inventory (i.e., advertisement space) can be purchased by advertisers based on audience.

  • Patent number: 8127336
Abstract: Systems and method for policy-based service management are provided. An exemplary system includes a rule definition interface module configured to receive a plurality of rule definitions and a separate policy management interface module configured to allow a user to define a rule instance from an existing rule definition instance and to define a policy instance based on the defined rule instance. A policy may be simply expressed via the policy management interface as “perform the following set of action if all of the following rule instances are true unless any of the following rule instances are true.” Additionally, policies may be associated with a context at a specific a level in a context hierarchy having multiple levels. The policy may therefore inherit rules from contexts at a higher level in the hierarchy.

  • Publication number: 20080194233
Abstract: Systems and methods for context-aware service subscription management are provided. In an embodiment a context-aware service subscription management system includes a policy decision module that makes a decision whether the requested service will be provided based on policy rules, subscription profiles and the context of the request for the service. The use of context to make the policy decision allows for services offerings to be adjusted dynamically to the context of a particular user's service request. The subscription management system further includes a policy rules module, subscription profile interface and a context analysis module. The policy rules module provides policy rules. The context analysis module determines the context of a service request. Based on context information, the policy decision module in effect temporarily overrides a subscription profile based on the context of a service access by the user.

  • Patent number: 7361453
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device with precision patterning is disclosed. A structure of a small dimension is created in a material, such as a semiconductor material, using a first and a second pattern, the patterns being identical but displaced over a distance with respect to each other. Two mask layers are used, wherein the first pattern is etched into the upper mask layer with a selective etch, and the second pattern is created on the upper mask layer or on the lower mask layer at locations where the upper mask layer has been removed. A part of the lower mask layer and/or the upper mask layer is etched according to the second pattern, resulting in a mask formed by remaining parts of the lower and upper mask layers, the mask having a structure with a dimension determined by a displacement of the second pattern with respect to the first pattern.

  • Patent number: 6562694
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device including semiconductor elements having semiconductor zones (17, 18, 24, 44, 45) formed in a top layer (4) of a silicon wafer (1) situated on a buried insulating layer (2). In this method, a first series of process steps are carried out, commonly referred to as front-end processing, wherein, inter alia, the silicon wafer is heated to temperatures above 700° C. Subsequently, trenches (25) are formed in the top layer, which extend as far as the buried insulating layer and do not intersect pn-junctions. After said trenches have been filled with insulating material (26, 29), the semiconductor device is completed in a second series of process steps, commonly referred to as back-end processing, wherein the temperature of the wafer does not exceed 400° C. The trenches are filled in a deposition process wherein the wafer is heated to a temperature which does not exceed 500° C.

  • Patent number: 6140946
Abstract: A parallel to serial conversion circuit is disclosed. The circuit is used for converting parallel bits representing a plurality of words into serial bits. The circuit consists of storing means which comprises a plurality of word locations for temporarily storing the plurality of words at a parallel clock rate, and serialization means connected to the storing means for converting the parallel bits into serial bits at a serial clock rate. Each of the plurality of word locations is organized as a plurality of cells for storing each, one bit. Moreover the serialization means comprises parallel pointing means connected to the storing means for pointing to the plurality of words locations synchronously to the parallel clock, and serial pointing means also connected to the storing means for pointing to the plurality of cells synchronously to the serial clock.
