  • Publication number: 20160116306
Abstract: A method of detecting a movement of a timepiece setting stem arranged to be moved axially along and/or rotated about its longitudinal axis. The method includes a light source illuminating a portion of the setting stem; a light detector receiving a reflected or diffracted light pattern from the setting stem; a processor forming a first pixel pattern representative of the reflected light pattern at a first time instant; the processor forming a second pixel pattern representative of the reflected light pattern at a second, later time instant; and determining that the setting stem has been moved, if the second pixel pattern is different or shifted with respect to the first pixel pattern.

  • Patent number: 9256207
Abstract: The timepiece movement is provided with an analog device for displaying information whose value varies periodically or intermittently, this analog display device including, on the one hand, an indicator provided with a first toothing, and on the other hand, a mechanism for the periodic or intermittent driving of the indicator. The drive mechanism is formed by an irreversible transmission system which ensures a shock resistant function for the indicator. The display device further includes a positioning jumper for the indicator generating a positioning force on the first toothing, which is sufficient to precisely position the indicator in a plurality of discrete display positions, but considerably insufficient to ensure a shock resistant function for the indicator. Thus, the indicator can be driven with a relatively low torque; which therefore requires less energy and makes it possible to provide a drive mechanism with a lower gear reduction for the drive torque transmission ratio.

  • Patent number: 9188960
Abstract: A mechanism drives the hands of an electromechanical watch. It includes an electric motor, a set of gear wheels connected to the electric motor to move the hands forward or backward on each actuation of the electric motor, and a locking device. The locking device includes a piezoelectric actuator for locking, in a rest mode, directly or via a bolt, one wheel of the set between each actuation of the electric motor. The piezoelectric actuator releases the wheel of the set of gear wheels, when it is actuated by an electrical signal at the moment of each actuation of the electric motor to move the hands forward or backward.

  • Patent number: 9170566
Abstract: Watch comprising a middle part which, with a crystal, delimits a watch case. The crystal includes a top face facing the user and an opposite bottom face facing the watch case. An electronic device is arranged on the bottom face of the crystal. A printed circuit board is disposed inside the watch case, underneath and remote from the electronic device. The watch includes a flange which is disposed between the crystal and the printed circuit board. The flange carries an electrical connection between the electronic device and the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 9146539
Abstract: The electronic timepiece movement (2) is equipped with a motor (4) including a stator and a permanent magnet rotor (6) situated in a stator hole, said stator defining at least two magnetic poles (12, 14) respectively including at least two pole shoes (16, 18) extending at the periphery of the hole. The motor includes at least one coil (28) respectively mounted around at least one core (26). The two pole shoes and the core form together a first part made of ferromagnetic material formed by or including a single-piece wafer forming both the two pole shoes and the core. An end portion of the core is connected to at least one corresponding pole shoe by a second part, defining a base plate or a main plate made of magnetic material, to which the first part is secured and on which elements of the electronic timepiece movement are at least partially mounted.

  • Patent number: 8995234
Abstract: A date indication display device for a timepiece includes a support element having a plurality of display areas on which are arranged the indications of the days of the month. The support element moves behind an aperture arranged in a dial of the timepiece. The indications of the days of the month are divided into a first and a second group, the two groups being two different colors. A date indication of the first group is superposed on a date indication of the second group on each display area. A first optical filter whose transmittance is chosen to transmit the first color and to block the second color, and a second optical filter whose transmittance is chosen to transmit the second color and to block the first color, are alternately positioned behind the aperture.
