  • Publication number: 20230147649
Abstract: A radar system (2) for a vehicle (1), having a radar transceiver (3) and a control unit (4), where the control unit (4) is adapted to control the radar transceiver to apply an initial signal power level (Pi) for transmitted radar signals (5); and to receive reflected radar signals (6) that have been reflected by at least one object (7). The control unit (4) is further adapted to determine a total signal reduction level (L) for which at least one predetermined criterion is not met; to compare the total signal reduction level (L) to a threshold; and to determine whether the radar transceiver (3) is working in an acceptable manner or not in dependence of the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20220349990
Abstract: A side-shield (310) for a radar transceiver (130), the side-shield (310) including a non-uniform delay structure arranged over an extension plane of the side-shield, the non-uniform delay structure being configured to delay a radar signal (220, 320) propagating through the side-shield (310) by a variable amount in dependence of a wavelength of the radar signal and in dependence of a location on the extension plane, thereby steering and/or diffusing the radar signal (320) after propagation through the side-shield (310).

  • Patent number: 8605222
Abstract: A receiver device is provided singly capable of applying demodulator circuits with differing frequency characteristics with respective signals of desired frequencies for the demodulator circuits. The receiver device in accordance with the present invention switches between a mode in which a digital signal having a frequency suitable for various signal processes is supplied to a DA converter and a mode in which a digital signal for which the IF frequency is about 30 MHz to 60 MHz is supplied to the DA converter, by using a switch and a wire.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: December 10, 2013
    Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Takeshi Mitsunaka, Pascal Lore

  • Patent number: 7483684
Abstract: To realize a mixer with a charge subsampling circuit with which a base band signal can be readily obtained without being affected by noise from wide bandwidth signals or undesired signals. A current generating circuit 8 outputs a current in proportion to the input signal voltage. In response to a control signal from the timing generating block 6, a charge subsampling circuit 7 samples the current at the same sampling frequency as the carrier frequency. In a charge-integrating process accompanying the sampling, weighting is carried out on terms in the transfer function of the FIR filter using a set of selected weights.
