  • Publication number: 20260088312
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a membrane electrode assembly (MEA) for an electrochemical cell, includes providing: a layer including a gas-diffusion layer and a microporous layer, a layer as a membrane layer coated with catalysts including a proton exchange membrane on which a catalyst layer is applied on both sides, and a layer including a gas-diffusion layer and a microporous layer, each as a web-shaped material. The three layers are brought together such that a web-shaped 7-layer membrane electrode assembly is formed and laminated. A web-shaped carrier layer is provided and fed to the web-shaped 7-layer membrane electrode assembly such that the assembly rests on the web-shaped carrier layer. The web-shaped 7-layer membrane electrode assembly is fabricated by cutting out a desired contour so that individual sheet-like 7-layer membrane electrode assemblies are created.

  • Publication number: 20140062027
Abstract: A mechanical face seal including a primary ring which is axially movably mounted, and a mating ring (3, 3?, 3?), wherein the primary ring and a mating ring each comprise adjoining sealing surfaces. The primary ring is pressed by a spring against the mating ring. The spring has a bellows-like shape. The spring is made out of an elastomer. The mechanical face seal achieves a small installation space for a mechanical face seal.

  • Publication number: 20040207160
Abstract: A sealing device between a stationary carrier and a rotatable housing with a sealing element fastened to the housing, the element having a multipole ring, a static seal, and a dynamic seal. The carrier is provided with a track ring as opposite surface for the dynamic seal.
