Abstract: Ammunition comprises, along a longitudinal axis, a fuse in the form of a tip, an ammunition body and a skirt, the ammunition body of cylindrical form with axis of revolution merged with the longitudinal axis, having, between a front end and a rear end, a circular cylindrical wall delimiting a loading compartment containing a pyrotechnic charge, the ammunition body being sealed at its front end by the fuse and at its rear end by the skirt attached to the ammunition body. The ammunition body includes, in the loading compartment, between its two ends, a central core having n fins each comprising at least one edge, in the axis of revolution, attached to the skirt, n being greater than or equal to 1, to separate the pyrotechnic charge into at least two portions on either side of a given fin Ei. Applications are to cannon or mortar type ammunition.

Abstract: The invention relates to anti-recoil devices for guns and martars. The anti-recoil device has a brake with a principal cabity which houses a principal piston pierced with holes. The small chamber of the brake is connected by an opening to a subisdiary chamber closed by a fluid-tight piston. The principal cavity and the subsidiary chamber are filled with a liquid whilst a gas under pressure, located on the other side of the fluid-tight piston with respect to the subsidiary chamber, tends to push back the subsidiary piston. A valve partially obturtes the holes of the principal piston, during the return to firing position, in order to brake that return.

Abstract: An ammunition magazine mounted directly on a mortar to improve the firing rate of the mortar. The rounds of ammunition contained in the magazine are conveyed to a predetermined position through the use of a motor drive where they are taken by a transfer device that extracts them from the magazine and places them into the barrel of the mortar.
