    Abstract: A short circuit terminal has a U-shaped base section formed by a base wall and side walls. Spring contact arms are stamped out of the base wall for short circuiting a pair of terminals arranged in adjacent cavities of a connector housing. The short circuit arms are provided with prestress abutment portions that engage a wall portion of the housing for prestressing the contact arms. The side walls of the base section have cutouts for allowing sliding of secondary locking protrusions through the connector housing.
